I can't be assed with the monthly ones, so will do a monthly or occasional update here.
Everybody is welcome so long as they try and update monthly and keep abuse off the thread.
Main Aims
Overall,
1. make £3k a month. I said £5k this year and didn't make it, so will set my sights lower.
2. Play less poker and work more. After too many months this year spending my days looking after a baby and nights playing poker, I just need to get out more. Work is an easy way of doing this and the income is a little more reliable. I think losing the mortgage etc drain from the bankroll may make me relax/play better when I play.
3. Pay £25k off the mortgage through work/poker.
Cash
4. Make 4 poker tracker BBs/100 hands.
5. Avoid 10/20 unless on a heater. I mentioned this on a thread yesterday. Long run I should only make 1.3 BB/100 hands according to pokerEV. For that I get a whole load of variance and bad days when I have shipped thousands.
By contrast my 5 BB/100 hands at 2.5/5 is a nice pleasant upslope, with my biggest downswing ever only about $5k or so. Playing $10/$20 is stupid in the circumstances.
MTTs
6. Simply run better than last year. On my two biggest cashes I lost when ahead near the end last year and I lost two 50/50s very late on in big sats. Hopefully I can also get my roi at 50%+ or so for the year.
7. Cash in a live tournament with a buy in of £1k+
STTs
8. Get in the top 20 for year on bf. $7k was all it took in 2008 and that should be easy enough.
9. Get that sharkscope graph positive and roi positive.
Finally
10. Don't go busto
Hopefuly 10 out of 10 at the end of the year.

Mine is a year-long sick grind at .5/1 and 1/2 NL 6-max.
- play 1.5million cash hands (12-16 tables approx 40k hands a week) - beat the game at 2.5ptbb/100 or better over sample above. - qualify for vegas again. - make $50k+ Profit & $25k+ RB (any less and i'll finally have to look for a job) How well i'll do is anyones guess. |

Although i wont be playing much having lost my job 3 weeks before christmas, Luckily got myself a new one starting end of this month But im looking for £10k profit from Cash games ( £2.5k since Aug 08 - Dec 08) Play more tournys and maybe satt into big ones on S***s or FT Finally get my lazy a$$ out more live ( Carls game in ponty!) Mine are pretty simple: - make enough profit to pay for a new number plate for my car (the one I want is about £1k) and - go to Vegas for a $1500 PLO or O8 in the WSOP (total cost about $2.5k because I can use air miles to get there) |

well last year after tax, broken relationships, strange strange holidays i banked $55,421.
This year, considering poker skill grows, id like a 25% (150%) (1500%) increase uo that. Its ok tho- I know ill make it. My three year plan is buy an appartment for cash |

My immediate aim is to break out of this losing run. Have horrendous losing runs at horses, poker, football that are so hard to break out of. On a side note, try and get back into golf. Good luck all with your aims.

2. Take at least a 3month break somewhere alone. 3. Lots of profit from poker. Not going to set a money amount as there is no upper limit which can only be good imo. 4. I WANT TO KNOW WHAT LOVE IS. 5. Get a nice new place to live, probably by myself in a new rented appartment by riverside or something 6. Look at the bigger picture, your aims are now to win £1001800 for the year. Hasn't really changed much. |
