yeah it depends on villain really, if he's shown any tendency to raise paint or A-rag sooted then I'm shipping it all in. if he's tight then you can pass.

It all depends on what range of hands the guy could be raising with. If he only raises with strong hands then chuck it. However, if his range includes any ace (which from his position would be a reasonable play) then it's an easy shove. Another question to ask is if you move allin how strong hand is he likely to put you on, and how likely is it he will fold?
I don't like calling here because you are out of position and once you've called it will be a big pot and hard to get away from. If the raise was smaller calling would not be a bad option. It also depends if you want to win the tournament or are happy to just come in the money. If you aren't bothered if you win or not there's no need to get involved. Personally I would shove here in most situations, because any decent player will be raising with worse than AJ from that position. |

Calling is never an option here, even if he raises smaller.
And Keith A is never getting the guy to fold here with his stack - so it's just a question of range here - and if he thinks he is ahead of the range he shoves. If he isn't ahead, he folds. Simples. |

awesome fishing thread keith
one of your best ever people actually thought you were serious :^0 |

And Keith A is never getting the guy to fold here with his stack
This is just plain wrong. I see people make terrible folds all the time in situations such as these, and have been roundly ridiculed for calling with sh it here even when I was getting the likes of 4/1. And given this raiser has his bet sizing all wrong, then he probably doesn't know when he should instacall either. |

Really?
To be honest, I don't play as high stakes as these - but I just gathered at the $55 level players would be more clued up. I stand corrected. |
|
By:
However, having said that - I don't think you can consider fold equity here as a major factor in making your shove/fold decision.

Doobs you have read hand wrong (nap)

The guy never folds to shove here imo

i agree soap, I don't think it's likely we get a pass if we shove.
frankly if his range is any pair, AJ+ then I'll still ship the lot in and hope more often than not 'cos there's a lot of hands we're racing against and a couple we're not in horrible shape against. we only have 10 bbs left and it's 1900 each round. very tempted to ship them in here. |
