'brilliant place well run' .... just looked at the schedule and at those tournament fees ( £5 for a £15 tournament, £6 for a £25 tournament etc ) I'd except it to be with free food and drink and topless waitresses at least.

you get free drink if you make final table.....talking to member of staff he says they get hammered by tax man

Obviously with the cost of supplying dealers cards and facilities, obviously the lower end cake for buy ins look pricey, but 5 quid for a game isnt that bad ... you would pay 6 quid in an hour at a self dealt cash table in a casino. a 5 quid for a tourney that lasts several hours is not over the top imo.

You never paid 5 quid to walk into a night club before?

They also give 25 quid cash bonuses back to player who play 4 times a month or something like that - and have discounts on house fees if you buy in direct online.

Tonight they have a 20 seat satelite online for their deepstack event (10 euro buy in for a seat worth 336) almost 100% gtd there will be overlay.

thats right, they have the full gaming licence, all income from gaming is taxed at 50%
Report johnnie allen December 30, 2009 1:10 PM GMT
I suppose with no blackjack or roulette tables their main income is from tournament fees and rake (10% is pretty steep) and players don't spend much at the bar when playing. Anyway good luck to them I've registered and might give that 20 seat gtd a bash.

10% is standard
