I have 94000 points this year and realise getting to 100000 points in year gets you the next level.

However, I run like cack at the moment and have very small roll. I have not yet decided which site i will play cash on next year but will probably limit it to 1 site.

My question would be - if I achieve 100K points does that put me on a RB deal via FPP comparable to ther sites or would it still be a lot lower %?

Cheers soap

Hope this helps..........

PokerStars VIP**- Supernova and Supernova Elite

Supernova - If you really grind a lot and want the best rewards possible, then you will want to become a Supernova. A PokerStars Supernova is someone who earns 100,000 VPPs in one year. It doesn't matter how or when you do this, just as long as you reach the 100,000 VPP mark before January 1st. (You will keep your Supernova status the following year as long as you earn at least 10,000 VPPs each month). Supernovas earn FPPs 3.5x faster.

There are many items in the FPP store that are exclusive to only Supernovas, including a concierge service where PokerStars will try their best to get you anything you want that isn't in the VIP store, or otherwise reimburse your for something you've purchased. There are very few restrictions, and this PokerStars Concierge service requires its own article. Utilizing the PokerStars Concierge service is one of the best things you can do with your FPP's, hands down.

You also have access to all the Gold/PlatinumStar freerolls, and also a special weekly Supernova $50,000 weekly freeroll! You can earn some serious cash by becoming a Supernova and cashing in these weekly freerolls! However, probably the most attractive perk of Supernova are the HUGE bonuses! You can purchase the $1500 Supernova bonus for 100,000 FPPs. Once you purchase this bonus, you will then have to collect an additional 10,500 base FPPs within 90 days to clear it. At the Supernova Level, you can earn anywhere from about 25% up to 92%** Of course, this also depends on the stakes and games, and what you redeem at the VIP store. But this also depends on what milestone bonuses you can reach within the Supernova level.

In addition to the $1500 bonus, as long as you keep your Supernova status and keep grinding, the bonuses get better and better. There are special VPP milestone bonuses, every 100,000 VPPs starting at 200,000:

* $2,000 at 200,000 VPPs
* $3,000 at 300,000 VPPs
* $4,000 at 400,000 VPPs
* $5,000 at 500,000 VPPs
* $6,000 at 600,000 VPPs
* $8,000 at 800,000 VPPs

Each special milestone bonus costs only 50,000 FPPs, so as the bonuses get better, they even cost less! Clearing them even gets easier as well, each bonus needs to cleared at 5x base FPPs and must be earned in 120 days. So if you make it to 200,000 VPPs you will qualify for the $2,000 bonus and will clear it when you collect 10,000 base FPPs. This is more money and less time than the $1500 Supernova bonus! So, as you reach these milestone bonuses, your effective**percentage improves. At the highest Supernova milestone bonus, which we'll call "Supernova7" and you reach $800k VPP's and the $8,000k bonus, you can earn up to 92% PokerStars** If you think these bonuses are nice, wait until you see what is offered if you reach the top level...

Are above based on FPP that you still have in your account or on FPP earned.

During year I spend most of my 100K earned on tourney sats etc?

PS thank you
Report Cromps December 23, 2009 6:37 PM GMT
Status (presume you are Platinum currently) is based on VPP's. You can't spend them. Best way to check how many you have is to go to cashier from lobby and then click "VIP status". You probably won't have so many VPP's as FPP's as you earn them faster as you get higher status.

status bronze and 94000 - its about my 4th choice site and a lot of my points are from UK promo earlier in year - just wondering if worth while to get to 100k and make it my 1st choice site
Report Cromps December 23, 2009 6:45 PM GMT
If you can get to Supernova status (i.e. 100k VPP's, not FPP's), it's defo. worth it. I've recently moved to *s from Will Hill and Betfair and won't be coming back.....

A player that reaches 90k Yearly VPPs in 2010 will earn the maximum of
$1,000. This equates to an approximate additional 6%** on top of our
existing benefits. Players will be able to track how close they are to each
cash credit through the client as the milestones will be integrated into the
PokerStars software. Once a milestone is reached, the cash credits may be
purchased from the VIP Store for 1 FPP each.

This answers my question (its garbage)
Report Model Man December 23, 2009 7:06 PM GMT
My answer is garbage or the stars points reward? lol :D
Report Soap December 23, 2009 7:07 PM GMT

Report Model Man December 23, 2009 7:14 PM GMT
i dont play on stars, so i cant really elaborate - but i had the same inclination as you when i read it today.

mark if you get to 100k points you will get $800 milestone bonus. surely it must be worth it?
Report FlopIt... December 23, 2009 7:44 PM GMT
edit: seen above :)
Report Soap December 23, 2009 7:53 PM GMT
can you clarify flop it?
Report FlopIt... December 23, 2009 8:41 PM GMT
you can get $800 when you hit 100k VPP's for the year. buy you need 50,000 fpps to buy it. surely if your only 6k points away its worth doing?

yeah and u will become a supernova as well, but to remain supernova u have to generate 10k vpps a month i think. (you have almost being doing this obv)

supernova cake is worth prob the same as a decent deal on other sites but the fpp system is exploitable so you can actually play satts etc with them to earn u even more cakeback if u so desired...
Report Soap December 23, 2009 9:59 PM GMT
indeed ^
Report Model Man December 23, 2009 10:07 PM GMT
Next year supernova is just 7500 per month as per email sent to soap

Worth doing but only if you're gonna play enough to keep SN for decent amount of time next year which commits you to a certain amount of play each month (they just lowered the requirements to keep it as per your spam email).

Yeah SN rewards are at least equiv to standard cake deals elsewhere (32% or so min, increases as you play more throughout the year cos of milestone bonuses etc.), prob are slightly better, though I'm gonna caveat that by saying I dunno what deals are available on the Euro sites atm.

Flopit, have replied to your email.

Mine appears to be just 2 paragraphs of rambling drivel, all of which had already been said by others anyway.

Nevertheless, I am still proud of my contribution, and have puffed out my chest to make this known to those around me.
