Nonsense, when you consider monk could win a leg or even a set and his price would shoot out.

"

this kind of logic hasnt been profitable were taylor is concernced for years

chop each set is 1st to 3 and common format for all darts tournamants - in fact many are less

and to win he has to break Taylor a minimum of 3 times

its actually the correct point. unless u can routinely do 12 dart legs (which u have to do to stand any chance of breeaking taylor) then u simply cant beat him. darts is a funny game where u either get 9 12 15 or 18 etc etc darts per leg. u never get 13 or 14. therefore as taylor very rarely has 15 dart legs because his scoring is in excess of 100 per throw its virtually impossible to beat taylor if u cant average at least 95. even then u would need virtually 100% double success to beat him when taylor averages 100 and the other guy averages 85 taylor is obv 160 ahead of him on a double on his throw and level on their throw. snooker is a totally diff game and much more of a leveller as once one player is at the table in a frame the frame is totally out of their hands. not so in darts

Yes each set is first to 3, the point being if you start badly you can easily find yourself 1-0 down, and in a first to 3 set event that can cause problems even for the best the player ever. That can't be said if Ronnie O'Sullivan goes 1-0 down in the first round of the snooker.

you have a free £2, you can either put it on taylor at 1.01 or have a euromillions ticket.

which is the better bet?
By:

rarely has in excess of 15 dart legs. it should have read.

its easy to see how finley has made fortunes in spots like this with a huge betting bank to roll with

"plenty who will have piled on at 1.01 thats for sur"

Funny how only 6k has been traded at that price, isn't it? Despite well over 100k being available.....

I can't understand why if you had a large amount of money you would bet 1/100 shouts.

more shrewed investments? can't get a kick out of it as a bet either?

if u think a 1/50 shot should be shorter than 1/200 why wouldnt u back it? i dont understand. i assume u would back a 9/2 shot which u make 7/2 so whats the diff?

will this match be on telly?
By:

When: 18 Dec 09 20:18
why is the volume matched going up on taylor when you can lay at 65 rather than back at 1/100
By:

Im a darts stato now they have played three times and its 3-0 to Taylor.

But this year Monk missed a double to go 5-2 up and got beat 6-4 that will do for me for a bit of value.
By:
chop180
When: 18 Dec 09 20:20
I'd say by far the best value is the 2/7 on Monk winning a leg.
By:
arbboy
When: 18 Dec 09 20:22
it depens who throws first. if taylor throws first i think its a great lay
By:
Nova Sicko
When: 18 Dec 09 20:27
taylor can't throw first every leg^
By:
arbboy
When: 18 Dec 09 20:29
yes but obviously if he throws first he only has to throw 4 times against the throw rather than 5 for the bet to cope. big diff surely even the biggest donk on here realises that?
By:
Nova Sicko
When: 18 Dec 09 20:30
so it could be 20%better value then?
By:

When: 18 Dec 09 20:30
Yep he just clarified it for us :D
By:
chop180
When: 18 Dec 09 20:31
Even if he only has 4 attempts (a pretty big if) I would still say it is value.

I think Taylor always gives them 1st throw when it goes to sudden death.

That last one that played who looked like an ugly lesbian nearly retired injured think im in here
By:

I think I'd lay 2/7 seen him whitewash a lot better players than Monk in the premier league.

Lenny forgot to tell you.

When i was in Oz my lass wanted to teach her how roulette works so put a few £2 bets on - of course on 13 and it lands 1st spin.

I probably backed it now 1111 times in row and time it comes in I have 2 bar on :D !!!

:D soap.

Never forget that epic roulette session. The night we met arbboy and he was moaning about 77 losing to AQ then won a grand from about 20 quid on roulette. What a chump

He will be back in a bit bigging up his 1.01 shot. Think he tipped Federer on the Tennis forum to have a good season as well.

I can see why he is a sports trader and poker is just a side hobby now
