Today I experienced the worse ever abuse I have encountered while playing a 250 gtd tournament.

As is very common, one player started abusing everyone on the table. This then quickly got down to the level of threats to rape peoples kids, murder parents and the like.

Even though betfair were informed by phone, they were not able to stop the abuse because the parties in question kept popping up again as observers using spare user id's.

Frankly I do not believe betfair's abuse policy is working. Whenever you complain you find the same players there the next day without so much as atemporary chat ban.

I do not have this problem at other sites, so I can only conclude that betfair is turning a blind eye to it. As a result I have removed my funds and will not play unless I have a guarantee that something is being done about it.

Anyone else noticed a deterioration in table etiquette recently?

Betfair do ban people.make no mistake about that ,rest assured. They tend to card people before sending them off.Keyboard warriors. If you were so offended by the chat why didn`t you just turn the chat off?

I did turn the chat off for quite a while. But if someone is threatening to murder my kids I want to know who is saying what - wouldn't you?

i understand what your saying mate, but as said above, just turn your chat off. if there threatening to kill your family it makes no difference whether you hear or not, its just some**bag trying to make up for his lack of skill on the tables.thugs like this r best ignored.

Absolutely ,you have every right to involve the police and they will invistigate the matter.Sorry to hear you have had to to put up with that disgraceful behaviour.

no, they have absolutely no intention of going through with this empty threat. keep your chat off if you are bothered by it

I think the likes of stars and ftilt do it best with 1 day/ 1 week bans etc. Permabans are stupid and take the fun away. Imagine if arbboy didn't have a perma chat ban how funny watching his tables would be.

Well clearly some of you live on a different planet than me, if you think this sort of thing is all just good clean fun. You are welcome to your world but I dont want any part of it I am afraid.

Wyhky. It is just common, especially at low stakes. Firstly you learn to shrug it off / ignore it. Second you learn to see how and why they are thinking acting in this way and exploit it. There is a good thread somewhere on here for great chat lines to put people down/ rub people up which are much more sophisticated and will not only make you laugh more at the situation but often get he whole table laughing at said numpty and therefore beating him at his own game without lowering yourself to his level.

If I can find it I will ttt for you.

Some idiot was giving it the mouth earlier on a table I was playing. Down to last 4, I shove pre with J7s or some junk, he calls with AT and I spike a 7 to knock him out.

I couldn't resist annoying him, so I typed 'sorry, my cat trod on my mouse'

He went mental lol, typing f@ck off you idiot, etc etc etc :^0
