JPJ, i'm not sure whether it's poker ignorance or an inability to understand English, but you clearly haven't understood any of the posts i've made. Just out of interest, other than dealer error, how many pots have you seen where the worst hand wins at showdown?

slimfast - JPJ is a total guru. I am exceptionally gifted at poker and a MASSIVE winner at the game, yet in the company of JPJ I feel like a small child stepping into the ring with MOHAMMED ALI.
Im sure you have a great deal to contribute but pls remove the anger from your head and read HIS posts.

And i suggest you read my threads. No anger, just points which JPJ has missed.
Oh, btw, nobody likes a bumm-licker.

The kid claimed he called not because he thought he was good but because roland had been mucking instead of showing, so its not as simple as he called with worse hand.

You're not seriously saying that he called with what he thought was the worst hand but in the hope that Roland would just muck?

iam not surgesting anything, just repeating what the the lad said in an interview, weather hes after timing or did in fact take this line only he knows, but his actions post river would give some credit to his claim.

It's probably something he had in mind to try if a situation like this arose. Given RDW's bluffing frequency and propensity to muck instead of show, Queen high might well have been good in that spot. And if it wasn't he could always try and get RDW to own himself, which he did. Clever play.

The truth is we will never know.

What is clear is Rowland comes out looking real bad. he clearly mucks and that's that. he then tries to weedle the pot.

It is possible this was a once in a life time incredible play but it's highly unlikely , more likely a hero call without any pre meditated hope that Rolly will muck.

If he doesn't have any pre-meditated hope that roland will muck then he's shown incredible presence of mind not to give up on the pot and to coax him into mucking. Either way i'm impressed. And yes, roland looks bad whatever way you cut it. It was his own angle-shooting that opened up the possibility in the first place.

yep, i think it's about 99-1% he's shown presence of mind that he actually considered it when calling. You can almost see it in the flicker in his fingers in the vid.

even if he is telling the truth and it was pre meditated it's akin to calling for a runner runner straight which, afterall will happen occasionally.

Dealem....

i think the fella did call with just the one out of getting RDW to muck. i doubt he called thinking he was infront. maybe this is his party trick?

i quite like the whole thing except for the fact it looks like quite a small pot.

if they were both allin and it happened it would be even better. of course, i know it would be unlikely to get the cards mukked then, but i think also lot less likely to get the trick played.

i think he ruined it all with the celebrations tho and like i say, the fact it looks quite a small pot makes it a bit weird to me. all in all tho, the fella thought he had a read and played on it. his read wasn't the hand, it was the likelyness of the mukk. if he was calling to try and beat with his Q then he would have mukked when he see the K surely...

if a celeb had done this to an unknown wnkr then it would probably be just a laugh for everyone. this is me working on the assumption that the trickster is unknown as i don't watch a lot of poker.
