someone else had this problem last wek, I suggested it was the version of DirectX.
they didn't come back and say if it worked or not

from betfairs help pages....

What version of Direct X do I require for Betfair Poker to function?

You need to have at least version 9 of Direct X in order to run the Betfair Poker software. If you need the latest version, please go to www.microsoft.com/directx.

let us know if it helps

When I chose the upper, resizable windows version of poker software, it immediately froze.

The trick is to let it run (though it's not responding ). After a while (couple of minutes) the computer starts to load Microsoft DirectX(R). When downloaded, the poker software starts to function.

One bug remains nevertheless: When I choose between chat, stat, notes and tourney, I cannot get back.

I got the impression that Windows7 caught the Betfair techie team pants down.

I do run on version 9 of DirectX, so that cannot be the problem.

I tried the other option of running in an earlier version of windows (xp pack 3 f.e.) but other problems came up like mentioned here..(not possible to switch from chat to stats etc).

So i am still searching and having the same problems. I just dont undertstand.....

Is DirectX8 an idea and then run it in an earlier XP version of Windows???
