Interested to hear more thoughts on the boxing actually. Am thinking of betting big on the russian to win on points. Haye would have to win 11 out of 12 rounds to get a decision in his favour in Germany!!
Report ForumTramps November 7, 2009 1:52 PM GMT
Who on earth is Hugh Taylor? What a weirdo you are John Barnes. The Florida Four recieved information on two horses this last fortinght, the other being Gayego in The Breeders Cup Sprint backed at a tasty 6/1.

Whatever happens we will still be rich and still confident in our sources of information. Two whopping bets on two huge chances.

Now with David Haye I have a big problem. I was amazed when he challenged the first Klitschko brother and for a year he stayed in the media spotlight making $$$ as a world heavyweight title challenger. He bottled it, then challenges the brother.....surprise surprise bottles it. Vladimir and Vitali would both have crushed Haye who is no Holyfield. Tonights opponent is pretty dire, I suppose Haye could jab his way to a victory then brag about how he is heavyweight champion of the world. If he does win expect him to be challenging Vitali again who would be almost forty by the time of any eventual fight and way past his prime. Everything the Haye camp does is what I despise in boxing. As if Haye would have a chance against somebody who absolutely battered Lennox Lewis. So tonight even though many may be on Haye to jab his way to a points victory I so badly hope he comes up short and ets battered inside 4-6 rounds.

Recognise if it goes 12 rounds then Haye has to win. It would mean he hadn't taken any shots. If he took a few shots he won't make the twelth round. Haye is quite simply not a heavyweight. He has simply had some fortune in the fact the Heavyweight division is so weak at the moment. I just wish Evander Holyfield was around to batter Haye, wait a minute that would not happen as Haye would sign papers for the fight and get an injury at the last minute.
Report Waheyyyy November 7, 2009 2:03 PM GMT
Holyfield would probably still beat Haye now lol. Wasn't he talking about coming out of retirement again just a bit ago!? Like FT said, the heaveyweight scene is awful atm and has been for a while, even when Lewis was about imo. I'd only just about put Lewis in the top 20 all time.
Anyway, back to tonight, Haye in the first round is where my money's going lol.

Thanks, done it for a place on here. Came steamrolling in and I thought it was going to win at one stage. Good call though for an 11/1 shot.
Report ForumTramps November 7, 2009 2:32 PM GMT
I was going to make a post saying remember you are backing around a twelve to one shot so lay off at a price for your initial stake or to make a profit. However I thought to post that would be patronising, after all everybody realises that was a race where you can bet in running. The horse went off fourteen or fifteen to one on the exchange and went three to one ON during the race. I would be more than happy to back a 15/1 horse every day that went odds on during the race.

Personally I laid off for just the stake around even money. So I break evens but I was so confident I laid for stake only as I always do with any horse in double figures so I had a green figure of £13,000 and a red of £0. Thats the gamble.

My live feed crashed so I missed the race, however I spoke to my connection after the race and apparently the usually reliable Caitlan gave the horse an absolutely awful ride and was over twenty lengths off of the pace?

Well once again any bet in double figures that goes to even money in running is as good as a winner in my eyes on betfair. I tried to make you guys rich but no doubt the bok factor is so huge on this forum. I shall not give anymore hot tips and just pray that gayego comes home tonight.

Sorry R.I.P. forum tramps tipping service.
Report McCoy Carp November 7, 2009 2:42 PM GMT
Thanks he did make up a hell of a lot ground and couldn't quite sustain his challenge in the final furlong. I think if it had be ridden closer to the pace it would of won easily.
Report fundamentalist November 7, 2009 2:44 PM GMT
disagree completely, being way off the pace was the right move as they went way too quick up front, the winner was as far back
Report ForumTramps November 7, 2009 2:48 PM GMT
There is being off the pace and being stuck in the stalls. He left it a little too much to do, but as I already said in the past he has been a kind jockey to the F.F. so its just one of those things nobody can get it right all the time. We haven't lost any money, but now the champagne has to stay on ice for a few more hours until after gayego wins. All profits will be going to the Las Vegas fund next weekend.
Report Mandylou November 7, 2009 2:50 PM GMT
jockey wasnt to blame , he had it settled well at the back and was always full of running .When he tried to make his move he got blocked twice but when the gap came he had his chance
beaten by a slightly better horse on the day but a good run and 5/2 a place was a steal
Report 1hearts November 7, 2009 2:52 PM GMT
How highly do you rate the info for Gayego m8? That one was obviously from a good source, and I could do with a winner .
Report ForumTramps November 7, 2009 2:54 PM GMT
As I have said I have not watched the race as the feed went. Just going on what I was told, still I guess with the money they have on at 15/1 seconds after the race the natural instinct is too blame the jockey. As previously stated I think Caitlan is a great jockey and wouldn't look to pass any blame on. Lots of people are in the old world still and don't use betfair. Those of us lucky enough to use betfair will have made a tidy profit on that race if we wanted, the old school are all watching at the track seeing a horse going off at double figures and then looking like a sure thing in the closing stages. Still once again thanks to betfair all of us here are all able to bet in running and when the Florida Four geniuses give a tip out almost everyone who backed made a tidy profit trading during the race or simply backing each way.

I do not know too much about horses nor do I pretend to. People just give me information and if i win I smile if i lose I don't cry to them. All I can do is say that I have backed it, the price has come crashing down. Obviously if you back at say 7.0 you can lay in running for your stake at 2.0 whereas if you back at 3.5 you are less likely to do so.

As a teaser i will reveal that the source for Gayego has not tipped a horse in the states since he tipped the MIGHTY 'Invasor' several years back. As with all gambling only bet what you can afford to lose. Anybody who places a bet and feels depressed after should possibly contact www.gamcare.com
Report chipfire227 November 7, 2009 3:02 PM GMT
was beaten by a horse that has to be held up till the last possible moment.

i couldnt blame the jockey, the first 2 have both come from way off a pace that was way too quick.if anything he could have done with holding it up even longer.

as the great man has said, you are happy enough backing a horse in double figures that finishes second and trades odds on in running.

thanks again for the info.

This synicate gets information at prices from even money to mega prices like 100/1 shots*. A winner is a winner, the only actual tip given out here is a 15/1 shot that came second in a highly competitive field. The other horse is simply what we have backed and has been mentioned, whilst it may be 5/2 now when the syndicate got on it was a much bigger price. We simply tried to spread some wealth before Christmas. There will be no more revealing of our information it was a one off gesture and we are dissapointed for all who backed even if many did back each way and/or trade in running.
