BECAUSE IF CHANGES AREN'T MADE AND FAST I DON'T HINK I WILL BE THE ONLY ONE WHO GOES AND PLAYS ELSEWHERE...

After hearing the recent claims that BF are 'listening to their customers', I have noticed in the last few months they have in fact done the complete opposite!

This leads me to believe there might be some internal funding issues or internal probs we don't know about, why else would thay have done so many things which were the complete oppositie if what the majority want?

Bugs still not fixed:

- If you click 'fold' by accident, you then can only 'fold' or 'check', you are unable to raise.
- There now seems to be a problem with headsup cash tables, if your opponent leaves their seat, then you seem to be left with a 'reserved' over that seat. I tested this tonight and the opponent is able to sit down
- SATELLITE INFORMATION STILL NOT IN THE LOBBY PROPERLY why???????????????????????????? how many times do you have to be told that YOU ARE LOSING BUSINESS because people will not play a satellite if they aren't sure what the hell it is for!
- Poker software uses massive amounts of processor speed PLEASE DO NOT DENY THIS IS AN ISSUE!
- Many more that you have been made aware of (I am too tired to think) but still have not been seen to...

Also

- woeful MTT offerings
- totally overloaded STT lobby - some games too similar need to be removed which NEVER get played, I am sure your software will tell you which ones they are (like $640 or whatever it is deep stacked 9 seat stts etc).

All of the above issues, plus MANY MORE, and yet to my amazement on the new upgrade you have decided to integrate blackjack into the software! WHY HAS THIS BEEN DONE BEFORE YOU HAVE SEEN TO THE OTHER GLITCHES / ISSUES THAT YOU HAVE BEEN MADE FULLY AWARE OF?

Now could someone please explain where exactly your priorities lie because right now it does not seem it is with your poker customers!!

how fast? this has been on going since about july and like you say they don't listen and worse they haven't acknowledged one post on here.

Maybe they could make a start and answer this one 'cos it's spot on.

it is a good post
its also his 3rd , ive tried a couple and a few others have also posted a non flaming sensible post

they dont seem bothered or taking any notice whatso ever about retaining players
however on the plus side the play tables are working lovely and they have 20 new people playing blackjack (until they lose and claim its rigged)
oh and they are also saving money by reducing**of some people so that side looks promising
ben and ruru arent getting paid anymore so again more savings as they havent been replaced with anyone judging by the lack of anything usefull from the site in 6 months, and they are looking on compulsory 4 hour crashes a night to cut down on the amount of electricity used
that along with the lack of info re sattelites means as less people are entering them so less seats generated so less money needs spending on them at the main event

sharp minds eh !!!

i 100% agree with the old bag

- If you click 'fold' by accident, you then can only 'fold' or 'check', you are unable to raise.
this is the same as other sites. though i'm not sure why. if you wanted to fold, you're then hardly going to think, oh wait, i can check? in that case, i raise.

processor usage is RIDICULOUS.
i tried betfair for a month. i really wanted to like it and i almost got used to it. but it's just no good.

*****still cover the bet amounts after raises and reraises.
hand history needs to be easy to access.
etc etc etc

1. rebuild the poker client into something which uses the windows api and you won't have to spend ages coding up the mouse wheel ffs - spend your developers time doing useful stuff.

2. Satellite information is just impenetrable. need to know when the next event is, not a reference number

3. The notes facility is buggy - if a player leaves a seat and you had notes on them, the icon is left behind and it's irritating

4. More MTTs at sensible amounts. Why not have some sit and go MTTs like st*rs with their 180 runner jobs?

5. Observer chat?

6. The graphics are really pretty ugly for 2007. Stars, crpto, full tilt, anyone really - all better. Tell us you're redeveloping it please.

7. Bring back ruru.

When people i knew still worked at betfair I kept coming back for more out of loyalty and optimism.
They've left now so I now play about 3-4 mtts/month on BF cos its so shyte.
Obv Ill now play the dreamteam thing too but its actually very sad what a disaster this site has become, an particularly how incredibly badly its managed.

it would be nice to think that for the last 6+ months theyve been building a new site in the background to release sometime soon, theyve had more than enough feedback to know whats required and it could be a cutting edge product that supercedes the others out there, hence increasing their traffic and liquidity greatly and giving them a chance of drastically increasing their market share. Instead they still havent delivered the majority of "teething problems fixes" from the initial release which were promised inside a few months, instead the changes we do see like the blackjack addition are insulting to the intelligence of their loyal poker clients.

they have some very loyal customers whose patience has been more than tested and many have now left and id expect most that are left are considering doing so, they have the best free feedback for a site in this forum, and a huge customer base from the betting site yet still they cant seem to get it even close to right

the sensible option as has been said before is a new system completely - it would be a start if they would actually acknowledge all the problems, and set a fixed date for resolution for them rather than burying their heads in the sands every time a problem exists

I think the site has a lot going for it, there seems to be plenty of new fish coming through and I like the graphics. I also like the fact there is no additional time bank unlike other sites.

The problems are:

no reload on cash table before the next hand starts;
if you get disconnected there is no auto timebank to get reconnected;
the tables sometimes mess up and crash.

The above statement is so obvious and correct, its actually quite funny that someone at betfair Poker had to believe this was an improvement to the site.

12 months ago they pretended to listen, then realised how much work it would take to improve so gave up and designed blackjack instead. Brilliant!

The thing that has annoyed me the most, is the fact that they have decided to implement a completely new idea, ie instant blackjack, before they have bothered to see to anything else...

Like mandy says, this is not the 1st post I have made and I know he has created some very constructive ones as well, however they have blatantly fallen on deaf ears. Now I may be blindly loyal, but I am no mug, and there comes a stage when you look at things and think:

- Other sites have**parity so their customers aren't left wondering why they bother
- Other sites have a STABLE interface which a) very rarely crashes or b) doesn't swallow up your whole CPU speed
- Other sites do not have these ridiculous glitches with the software which are still yet to be sorted despite repeated requests

BUT MAINLY:

- If I move to another site I will be offered a far better MTT schedule with a bit of VALUE
- If I move to another site I will be able to play their satellites and maybe qualify for some live events, without spending 30 minutes trying to work out what the bloody hell that satellite in the lobby is for
- If I move to another site, there will be far more liquidity as it's plainly obvious that by neglegting the poker site for so long Betfair liquidity had dropped and now it's getting pretty difficult to et a game!

I am off out now and I don't know how long this thread will last but if it's still here later I look forward to reading further replies.

I admire your patience and persistance Mavo but fear it's misplaced.
I jumped ship 2 months ago as I finally felt that there was no chance of change.

A couple of conversations I had led me to believe that there were opposing forces at work in Betfair towers and the subsequent personel changes seem to bear that out.

I loved playing on Betfair poker until about 6 months ago despite the software problems, but I don't recognise the site anymore. Everything that was good has gone.

I notice there is no 12 plays this year which is something most of us used to look forward to, another example of changing attitudes at the top.

Good luck to those of you still hanging on, I still enjoy reading the forum, but even that is quieter nowadays.

All the best

Hi everyone, haven't been here for a long time. I wanted to say something about Mavis' post and Betfair Poker as a whole.

In short, their site is nothing short of a disgrace. The reason why so many haven't left yet and still complain is that they think Betfair are going to offer either compensation or better guaranteed tourneys or bonus offers (like billy monuntains). This will never happen.

Their offers pale in comparison to some of the 100% bonus offers on other sites. I left a few months ago for good and to copy someone else's sentiments, it was the best thing I ever did.
You may not want to play in 5000 man fields, but at least you get the choice. On other sites you can play all the games (including some low-ball games) and the traffic is ever-flowing. The connection to other sites is always exemplary and there never seems to be any other problems (just look at the other forums).

I see betfair have signed Annette (gl to her) who apparently is sponsored for whatever tournament she desires (as she said on her podcast). We know Betfair sponsor Bengt and Buzzer who play the majority of their poker live or on other sites (as well as Annette). In fact, I am suprised Annette joined betfair as she made her name playing the $100 rebuy and the Million and other huge-runner multis. Betfair cannot offer these.

It is laughable that the money gone to sponsor these pros has not attracted anyone to the site and yet it could have been used to help strengthen the day-to-day running of the site to keep their original customers. I hope Betfair come to realise that their sports betting is simply genius but their poker is an embarassment.

See you on the tables at Crapto (Axilleus) and Full Tilt (Rated Rk/Hector01).

I have also moved having been a loyal customer here for at least 3 1/2 years. Gave it time after the relaunch to improve but it simply never has.

They need to close the software application for a few days iron out all the glitches, demolish the game list and restructure MTT's and STT's. Sit the 'brains', i use that term very loosely, down and reinvent a whole new program.

Start from scratch. I know it will never happen as they will continue to overlook any problems and try to sweep them under the carpet.

Im sure the pros you sponsor give the company massive satisfaction- beause one thing is for sure they're certainly not impoving the online playability of the site.

The marketing of these players hasnt improved numbers brought no new players. In fact the very people you sponsor dont play on your site. That says a lot.

Imagine Ivey or Hansen playing on stars constantly and not Full Tilt. Unthinkable. Yet how often do we see Annette on betfair- not at all. Not a dig at the girl why should she play on a site which offers no games whatsoever

Considering they've had over 12 months to sort out the initial problems it should have improved heaps by now, and we all know it hasn't. I have to agree with the earlier posts when they highlight that betfair have shown their true intentions by adding blackjack, that nobody wanted, to the software in favour of fixing the bugs - the sat info example being truly unbelievebly bad, this just shows they are out to try and make as much money as they can out of their sportsbook punters who fancy go at poker rather than to draw in poker players.

it would be great if the new man at the top would care to respond to this thread, but i for one aint holding my breath

I think betfair hq have decided they have invested enough money and now want the money to flow. This would follow the pattern of spending money on advertiisng (wsope and big annette sponsorship) rather than pleasing their customers. Their refusal to pay some people rb is ridiculous ( I would leave if betfair cut my rb)
