this card looks amazing on paper compared to 147, lots of good match ups and good betting opportunities, not to mention one of the most anticipated fights in history! here's a quick preview.
none of the undercard odds have been released yet, but on the main card i think tito could be pretty good value, i was surprised to see him at 3.5+ on some sites, on bet 3.65 he is currently at 4.00! this will be tito's last ever mma fight supposedly and i can imagine him having a lot of motivation for this, and he was just inducted into the hall of fame. forrest on the other hand has seemed to lack motivation lately and looked awfull in his rematch with shogun. it kind of seems like his body is giving out on him in my opinion. tito's boxing has looked a lot better recently which could make it a lot easier for him to set up some takedowns, and dish out some of his brutal GnP from the guard, i also think stamina could play an important part in this fight, tito made his name through his cardio but at 37 years old its possible that he might struggle a bit. forrest on the other hand is 5 years younger but if he comes into this fight like he did against shogun it's going to be a tough night for him i just hope this rubber match isn't a split decision again. another thing to bear in mind is that tito has had a lot of surgery over the last year or so and he has said that his body is the best it's been in a decade
in the Silva Sonnen fight i think I'm going to avoid betting on it, there's so many different variables since they first fought, such as Sonnen's testosterone suspension, Silva fought with broken a broken rib (supposedly) the first time they fought, Chael has most definitely improved his sub defence, Silva is now 37 years old etc etc i think Sonnen is going to use the same game plan he used in the first fight, bulrush Silva and hit that power double, i cant see Silva stopping Chael's takedown's at all, and i think Sonnen will be a lot more wary of the triangle when he's grinding Silva down. on the feet, obviously Silva will have the advantage but he may be thinking about Chael's takedown's, i will be watching closely to see if silva throws any kicks if he does he may be thinking he will most likely be taken down at some stage anyway so its worth the risk of throwing some kicks. many people were surprised when Sonnen rocked Silva with punches twice in the first match, i don't see any reason why he couldn't do that again. of course silva undoubtedly has the talent and precision to KO pretty much anyone in the blink of an eye which is probably why he's such a big favourite.
as for the rest of the card, i think chad mendes is the biggest lock of the night but the odds haven't been released yet maia looks a bit overpriced to me, but i can see why, he's looked pretty bad in his last few fights. cung le vs cote is a hard one to pick, think I'd give the slight edge to le just because he's so well rounded and has the more dynamic striking, however his cardio worries me a bit and he cant go toe to toe with cote as his chin has looked shaky at times too and cote is a hard puncher with an iron chin. on the undercard I'm going with Guillard and phillipou if their prices are decent when the odds are released

lol, another alternate view, though I was watching the odds and he dropped from 4.6 to 1.5 when he left the cage, only other thing I guess is they thought a decision had been announced or something, hence Griffin leaving as he lsot
