The Belgian Classics begin in earnest this Sunday with the mighty Ronde de Vlaanderen.
Will Spartacus be marked out of the race, or will we see another overwhelming performance to match the one two years ago, and indeed, the enormous effort of last year.
Tom Boonen is in great form, and will be hellbent on adding another victory to his palmares.
Other obvious contenders are Matti Breschel, Peter Sagan, Phillipe Gilbert etc.
I think Greg van Avermaet will ride a big race. he did particularly well at Liege Bastogne Liege last year and rode well at Gent-Wevelgem as did my other pick, Johann van Summeren.
For once everyone seems to have made it here in one piece and most of them are in good form - looks the strongest lineup in years
I need to have a look at the new course. No more Muur which is a shame but on the other hand Koppenberg should be more significant. At the moment I'm not really sure who is suited by the changes
Really looking forward to this oneFor once everyone seems to have made it here in one piece and most of them are in good form - looks the strongest lineup in yearsI need to have a look at the new course. No more Muur which is a shame but on the other
Sep Vanmarcke is a nice price at around 30.0. He's in good form at the minute, he was 5th last week behind Boonen in the E3 Harelbeke and a few weeks ago he beat Boonen in the Omloop Het Nieuwsblad. He likes these classics as well, he finished 2nd in the Gent–Wevelgem.
