Have backed him for yellow tonight..but he'll need a decent gap for the TT...unless of course he rides like he did in the Swissy to win it last year...

No argument from me that Evans has been a warrior whilst Frank has just been carried up but when it gets to Alpe D'Huez, which Frank has won before, there's no prizes for having done lots of work, its all about what you've got left in the legs, and Frank should have loads.
Remember who we want to win and who will win are not the same thing at all.

im watching itv4, dont know what the eurosport commentators are saying but think the itv4 ones are a little simplistic in suggesting frank couldnt go with andy and contador earlier on
it wasnt the right move as has been proven

Mary. I don't disagree....and I am an Evans backer on GC...but there's no escaping the fact that some riders get castigated for being passive while others are praised for being clever.
Looks like the same thing a lot of the time.
But sh*t..that's sport I suppose.

evans has climbed as well as any of them tbh, he just hasnt got the acceleration to stay with a kick, or the last 100m kick
but he'll work his way back imo
dont think he'll lose that much time, but it will be on a knife edge tomorrow

Well done new bluey. Great call. I couldn't see that happening today.
I did say on the chit-chat Tour thread with about 5km to go up the Galibier yesterday that I thought Rolland was a future grand tour winner though.
They really need to sort out the rules for eliminations and points deductions etc. They seem to be winging it a bit at the moment.
