why is he coming in and in and in? i mean they both lost time today...in the stage he was backed down to 2.4 as people thought he was ahead of contador but they finished together over a minute down....when people realized this he went back out to 2.9 but has subsequently come back in to 2.36
i dont know too much about cycling i'll admit but this confuses me a little, any explanations are appreciated

sorry just checked standings and hes 1min14 clear of him, itv4 didnt have a clue
Contador crashed with 8km to go so his gap to Gilbert stood (1min 20), whereas Schleck's crash was within 3km of the finish so he was given the same time as the main group that finished behind Gilbert.
They did come over the line together, hence the confusion, but that was because the group of Contador caught up with Schleck after his crash.
