Ive just had £20 on roy nelson to win by KO or sub @ 5/2 with paddy power. Think itll end in ko/tko by nelson and i think Mir can only win by Sub!

Rampage will beat Hamill but not great outright value for me. Could see it going to a decision if Hamill can use his grappling. but rampage has good take down defence so well see.

i can see mir or nelson winning by tko but the difference between them is that mir doesnt react to well when he gets tagged. i put a bit on mir to win after at 1.7 ish.
and i agree with you about the other fight, rampage should be able to defend hammill's takedown's fairly easily, he is a fair bit bigger than hammill too, and on the feet rampage has a massive advantage, i think hammill will try and utilise leg kicks to slow rampage down but rampage should be prepared for this strategy. put 30 quid on rampage to win. but most of my money is going on alves, gonna put 2-300 on him to win, and put about 20 quid for him to win by tko at 3.35 seems good odds.

Im agreed on Alves, should destroy Story. Not so sure about Rampage- i think he'll get put on his back. Hamill by Dec for me.

Fancy Grove and Mir but wont be backing either. Struve fight should be good while it lasts. Champions league winnings on Alves! Come on Barca!

story lay'n'prayed his way to a unanimous decision, couldnt do any damage to alves clearly didnt want to stand, alves messed up and did'nt get out of the clinch when he should of. at least rampage and mir won to recoup some of my losses. if the alves fight was a 5 rounder it would look very different imo

I think Alves let him self down TBH. He should of let it go a bit more, he actually thought he won that fight at the end his corner should of been telling him to try and finish.

Nelson was a let down too he usually has good ok cardio and good wrestling?

Hamill was embarassing i think he looked fat aswell he could prob cut to 185?

yeah he should of been a lot more agressive in the 1st and 2nd rounds, the problem was he was afraid of the takedowns, so he was tentative, but he got straight back up from every takedown within seconds , it was a bad gameplan by his camp.

nelson was coming of a fairly long layoff his cardio in the past has been good, but i think he gassed due to all the clinch grappling that mir utilized, also he took a lot of shots which slowed him down more. as far as his wrestling is concerned he actually beat frank mir in a tournament years ago, ironically it was because mir gassed out.  mir was significantly the stronger guy here, he has put on a lot of muscle in the last couple years and used it to good effect here.

hamill had a very disappointing performance, especially how he said he was going to break rampage's will. he did'nt look fat, but i think his problem is that he is slightly to big for middlweight and slightly to small for light heavyweight. i think he might of fought at middleweight before in his carreer (not certain on this). but it could be a good idea for him to move down in weight in the future. especially as there are few high lvl wrestlers in the MW division atm.

Yeah that grappiling match they a had few years back, nelson looked a lot heathier and trimmer then (still fat tho lol) Dana has said he has to think about his body shape if he wants to stay in the UFC! so be interesting what he comes out like in his next fight.

Hamill could prob cut another 20lbs he didnt look exactly fat but didnt look cut like most of the top LHW at the moment.

Who do you think Mir should fight next?

apparently it has been confirmed that nelson had pneumonia leading up to the mir fight which he says is responsible for his cardio, although nelson said that regardless mir was the better fighter on the night. mir's next opponent could possibly be the loser of dos santos and carwin, not sure who else would fit really. he needs a big name to fight as he's probably another win away from a title shot.
