Using an Odds/Strike Calculator

There are many ways to improve any betting, with appropriate tools. Keeping a track of his performance, a punter, can be helped to select matches, according to the his own strike rate. To do this, two questions need to be answered.

1. What strike rate is needed for given odds, to be profitable in the long run?
2. With a given strike rate, what odds are needed to be profitable?

For the punter, this is important information, for betting (trading), and getting a good profit. The calculations are not difficult, but in the internet age, why not have an on-line calculator to do the job? At 30minsoccerbetandwin.com, we started exploring stats betting since October 2011, with very good results. We used a lot the odds/strike calculations to decide if we should go for a trade. The strike rate is a very important factor. We had a general strike rate, which did not help us improve our selections. We decided to calculate strike rates for each league, with a better view of our results. So on our site, you'll find League Stats with number of picks, wins and the strike rate.  We have set up an Odds/Strike calculator, to help us do our calculations. Of course, it's free to be used from anyone.

We select two kinds of bets:

1. No goal in the first 10 minutes
2. A goal in the first 30 minutes.

Our friend Jeyton, from the forum, proposed an extension to the half-time, instead of the first 30 minutes, with fantastic results. A guide with examples can be found at:http://30minsoccerbetandwin.com/guides/oddsstrikecalc.pdf
