Could have gone back up by 3 scores

Niners TD now would put them under huge pressure

Detroit  did well to hold SF to FG though

But can't see them doing anything offensively, they look gone

There is a right time to go for it and a wrong time and Lions were wrong twice. Not because they missed but because of the game situation. A chance to go 3 scores up and a chance to tie and they made stupid calls. Trying to be too clever.

McCafferty comes alive in the 4th quarter.

Sad to see the Lions collapse like this and I did enjoy their "fairytale run" or whatever you wanna call it, but Chiefs vs Niners will make a far better Superbowl. The best teams over the best 5 years or so.

Crazy stuff guys. Bad coaching.

Agree Samuel. More attractive Super Bowl. Shame for the Lions though but they beat themselves.

Could understand it more if it was 4th & 2 or shorter

But 4th & 3, 4th & 5 Plain

The reasoning will be "We can't beat the 49'ers with FG's", but they're also making it much easier for the 49ers to score when they go for plays that has such a big risk of ending up with turnover on downs.
I haven't seen enough of the Lions this year, but there was a call away against the Cowboys a few weeks back I didn't agree with. They were down 1 and went for a TD conversion to win the game. Fair enough, but then they got a 5 yard pen and he still went for it instead of going for the extra point to tie the game.

and with this likely ending up a 3 pt loss he will be questioned even more.

Must be one of the biggest blown leads in a Championship game.
