Jon Gruden gone from Raiders

That's some bad luck for The Raiders. This all happening as a result of an investigation to another team and over comments said when Gruden wasn't even employed by them.

the longtime head coach used a racist trope to describe players' union chief DeMaurice Smith.

'Dum­b­oriss Smith has lips the size of michellin tires,' Gruden wrote in the email re­viewed by the Wall Street Journal.

In the emails, Gruden called NFL commissioner Roger Goodell a “****&ot” and a “clueless anti football ****”. He also complained that Goodell had pressured then St Louis Rams head coach Jeff Fisher to draft “quee&s” after the team selected Michael Sam, who is gay, in the 2014 NFL draft.


In other emails, Gruden said Eric Reid, one of the first players to kneel alongside Colin Kaepernick during the national anthem in protest at police brutality, should be fired; called then Vice-President Joe Biden a “nervous clueless pu$$y”; and exchanged photos of women wearing only bikini bottoms.

Tremendous stroke of luck for the Raiders I would have thought. Would have cost them a fortune to fire him (after several mediocre years of a 10 yr contract), now he's gone for $0

Bit awkward for the folks who worked with him previously and came out defending him (Mike Tirico, Tony Dungy, Tim Brown etc)
