did they lose the plot yesterday?lack of draft capital is going to hurt for years to get tunsil, what would they have got for clowney 5 months ago?why draft for hyde before seeing what rbs were cut
DeAndre Hopkins traded to Arizona for a running back that is now statistically about 40th in the league (and a 2nd round pick)
Certainly lost the plot now !DeAndre Hopkins traded to Arizona for a running back that is now statistically about 40th in the league (and a 2nd round pick)
There's only one man should be GM and coach of a team at the same time and he certainly isn't called O'Brien...how any man in the sport could have his pants taken down like that is staggering.....lot of other teams ( i would say thirty ) must be kicking themsells that they didn't enquire with the Texans about a trade.....
Mind boggling the more you think about it

In reality Hopkins was traded for quite a lot less than a 2nd round pick. David Johnson would have a negative trade value due to his huge contract - typically a move like this would be a salary dump where a non-contender with cap space accepts a draft pick in return for taking on a bad contract (e.g. when the Texans themselves traded Osweiler to the Browns who cut him shortly after)
Hopkins has 3 years left on a very reasonable contract. The only way this isn't xmas come early for the Cards is if Hopkins is damaged goods in some way

The dumbest thing is surely they could have got a lot more from another team, but just took the 1st offer.
I'd have thought the Patriots or Eagles would have given up their 1st round pick for Hopkins. And that would have meant picking around low 20s rather than the mid 30s one they got. With that they could have got a very good receiver in the draft. Not as good as Hopkins I suppose, but a guy you could be paying $10M less. As it is they already traded away their 1st round pick for 2020.
