Outstanding game that was today. Brady deserves all the accolades, he was gargantuan in the second half, playing out of his mind. Never seen a performance like that in a Super Bowl. Was watching in a bar with about 500 or so people and I think everyone knew the Pats would get there somehow when Edelman made that insane catch.

First ever SB to go to overtime, and let's hope it's the last with the current O/T rules. I really don't know why they persist with what everyone knows is wrong, I despise that a coin toss is so influential in the biggest game of all.

Don't really follow American football or watch apart from super bowl where I have the odd flutter, in terms of comebacks how impossible was that this morning, every single thing seemed to go in Patriots favour, 28=3 down late in 3rd quarter and manage to tie match then go on to win in extra time. In terms of a soccer match what would be the equivalent in comebacks, one team leading 3-0 with 10 mins to go or worse than that?

Amazing stuff, had over 56.5 and Pats - 2.5 and i'd given up on both and I was about to go to bed mid way through the 3rd quarter and then...

Quinn will never admit it, but he'll know not settling for a FG lost them the game in his heart of hearts.

I felt so sad for the Blanks when I saw them holding hands on the sideline as Brady marched the Pats inexorably to victory, a lovely old couple just stood there about to get their hearts broken...

Cant bring myself to reread the thread and see all the celebratory remarks from Falcons backers!

Never over it seems in NFL. Thought Zebras had major part to play as always..Not in Atlanta favour!Lost in the Comeback!

This victory for the Pats was more down to the Falcons imploding.  Just watched a re-run it's staggering how they lost.  That sack on Ryan late on was criminal.  Ryan took his team how out of FG range.

I'd blame the play calling first. The ball should have been in RB hands in that situation. It's not as if running the ball would be negative given the talents of Freeman anyway. Total lack of pragmatism. The aggressive approach on offense can arguably be justified up until the point where you are in a winning position in a superbowl- once you are in that position though, you need to adjust to rationality. Falcons will take years to recover.
Report casemoney February 7, 2017 8:31 PM GMT
FALCS Doing the Equivalent of Taking a Ball from the Penalty spot and placing it on the 1/2 way spot in football ,certainly helped the PATS cause  Laugh

To score from 1st at 10 on the 23 when all that is  needed is a fg has to be 5 on ,never mind  being 8 points ahead as well with 3.45 on the clock ,the only Reason that any team make a passing a call
would be if Kicker was injured ,Even then u r are running the ball to kill the Clock ,another 1st down wins the game ...A truely Unbelievable Call ,if it wasnt a superbowl I would say they threw the game Plain
Report grayhawk February 8, 2017 1:58 PM GMT
Two years ago the Seahawks needed only one more yard to deny the Patriots.......

In all probability the Falcons didn't even need to gain any more yardage to deny the Patriots .....three straight runs then kick the field goal would have more than likely got the job done......

On such fine margins does this great game rest Happy
