The early part of games against the Packers are significant - a better offense would have been winning 14 zip against them today and then it's a completely different ball game. Also what turned this game was that hail Mary just before half time, Rodgers won't get away with that against the Cowboys.
What people don't appreciate is that because the Giants effectively don't have a running game the Packers were able to just sit their safeties to help their cornerbacks restricting the likes of Beckham - although he dropped a couple of regulation catches as well today. They won't be able to do that against the Cowboys which brings Dez Bryant, Witten and Beesley into play. I remember when the 49ers were the best team in football for a couple of years and one time they played Green Bay at home in the play offs. Kaepernick and Frank Gore tore them apart from the read option, play action and the jet sweep - the Green Bay defense isn't too dissimilar now and unfortunately for them the Cowboys have the best offensive line in football and the best running game. So the Cowboys will use play action, the read option, the jet sweep plus Prescott can use his legs like Kaepernick did - I think the Cowboys will blow out the Packers next week - like they did earlier in the season. I'm a big fan of Aaron Rodgers - he is the best Quarterback in the NFL and has been for several years but not even he will be able to carry the Pack next week in my opinion. |

Falcons look a lock to beat the Seahawks as well. The hawks area a shell of a team they were a few years back. Big fan of Jimmy Graham but they don't use him enough and in reality I don't see the Seahawks defense being able to restrict the Falcons offense and I don't see the Seahawks offense piling on the points.

Patriots will have a tough game against either Kansas City or the Patriots and then facing either the Cowboys or Falcons in the Superbowl - Pats obviously have a good chance but 7/4 not for me. Whilst they din't win The Ravens showed that the Patriots have weaknesses so they could be beaten in Foxboro.

New England 13-8 now 365

Cowboys almost out to 6/1 on here looks pretty good value given I think they match up well against Green Bay and the Falcons have a poor rush defense which would again play right into the Cowboys strengths but the argument Falcon fans could rightly raise is that would Dak Prescott be able to keep up with Matty Ryan if it got into a shoot out? Arguably not, so that would be a fascinating game. I just can't have the Seahawks as I think they are a shell of how great they once were.

Swagger, Seahawks have already beaten the Falcons this year (albeit at home). At that point, Wilson couldn't move and Rawls as out injured. So I don't think it, will be straightforward for Atlanta.

Just my opinion equine flew but I think the Seahawks are a shell of a team they were 3 years back. The great Earl Thomas is injured and whilst they still have the likes of the brilliant Bobby Wagner they just don't look the same defense to me. Richard Sherman doesn't seem to carry that fear factor that he once did and in relation to the Seahawks' victory over the Falcons earlier in the season, Sherman himself should have been called for a blatent PI call in the last few moments (I think on Julio Jones) which would have set up a winning field goal for the Falcons. Also the difference between this game being played in the dome at the home of the Falcons and being played in Seattle is huge - The Seahawks are much stronger at home (7-1 this season and went 3-4-1 away). The Falcons beat the Seahawks in this corresponding play off fixture several years back and I think the Falcons are a stronger all round team now so I see them winning again. The Seahawks fans can point to Russell Wilson taking off his knee brace showing that his mobility is back but i'm still not convinced by their O-Line and I still don't know about their running game, even allowing for injuries it was been inconsistent all season. If they are able to establish the run then it gives them a chance. I'm a big fan of Jimmy Graham and think he is underused but I just don't see the Seahawks restricting the Falcons enough or being able to match them in a shootout. Just my view.

Always interesting to hear opinions.. Whatever your view, we have 4 cracking games, and unlike the wildcard weekend, any given team could win... I am even including the Texans !!
Wildcard, all the favs won and all covered the spread. I am looking to play all the dogs on the handicap this week. |

agree with atlanta beating seattle, seattle not the team they were, atlanta going well this year and should have too much at home

Steelers need to get Ladarius Green back against Chiefs.
He missed out due to concussion protocol this week but has been instrumental in the Steelers recent winning run. Ben seems to really like the options he gives them, despite the other attacking options available they will need him this week against the Chiefs. Think Atlanta and Dallas will win with home advantage |
|
By:
Steelers v Chiefs the tightest call for me,just like Steelers with that offense clicking at right time, worry would be away form.
Green bay v Cowboys also tough one, pick em that one and nelsons poss absence means sit on fence for me just now.Rodgers is in imperious form and will put up pts! Falcons beat Hawks Pats beat Texans for me. |
|
By:
j Nelson 2 broken ribs..out i would suggest!
|
|
By:
the other recievers did well in his absence to be fair but nothing less than 30pts in dallas will be good enough, green bay will need to start better this time too,put pts on the board early and put dallas under pressure
|
|
By:
I agree,Dallas will come on strong 2nd half as the constant run pressure creaks the D...Rodgers is in great nick though, really is!
