Sometimes you do it subconsciously as you want to save yourself/not get injured. It's counter intuitive really as if you play half hearted there is more chance of injury!
Cowboys will rest players next week, so I think they will go hard in this game as it will be a final hit out for them before the playoffs. Detroit can guarantee a playoff birth tonight but regardless of tonights outcome they will play for the division at home next week against Green Bay.
One of the worst things in sport is taking foot off the gas,before games,or even during the game,very very difficult to just switch it back on.Dallas i hope are on it from the start here,win well and move on...

Dallas have been a bit scratchy of late, they need a confidence boosting performance. They are 3-1 in their last 4 games with the 3 wins by narrow margins of 5,2 and 6 all against non-playoff teams.
Foot firmly on the gas in that drive,very very impressive start,get crowd in the game now!
There will be over 100 points if the defences carry on like this!
