Time to get started 
Week 1 betting a minefield so easy goes. Expect Cam and co to extract a little revenge but no money down, good game to avoid. Going against the Cowboys and Vikings minus their starting QBs. Cowboys may have found a star in Prescott after his preseason but preseason ain't the proper stuff. Titans may surprise a few this year, have made some improvements. Can defend the rush which Vikings are likely to do all day. Gotta go with the home underdog.
Trust everyone is suitably pumped

a very telling result for me. the market tried to write off the Pats and they showed everyone that they'll be right in the hunt for the Superbowl again this year. had all the US experts convinced themselves that the Pats are a 1 man (Brady) team? even an NFL novice knew otherwise, and Bill is SO experienced. market burned big time

The Pats are always thereabouts. Wasn't just the no Brady factor, Gronk is a superstar and they were on the road against a fellow contender. No reason to expect a win for them in that one before the off and the low odds were fair enough. As far as laying down a week 1 marker goes, very impressive stuff.
those low odds weren't fair enough unless you make the Cards team fielded about 3.5 wins better than that fielded by NE. I had AC 1.6: 12 wins to 11. Brady and Gronk back and I expect I'll have NE at 12 or 13.
1.28 smelled of money buying imo; unless people were seriously rating NE at 8 or 9 wins (or had Arizona down for 14 for some reason). Much more likely it was weight of money due to the long wait for the season to begin, during which the PAts narrative has been "if they can just get through the first 4 games 2-2 then they've done well". That AC would win was just a given for most of the market. I agree they were true favourites, not arguing with that, just saying the price was wrong imo.

apparently New England were able to intercept the radio signal of the Seahawks in the superbowl two seasons ago. That's how they were able to anticipate the Seahawks throwing the ball when they did and come up with the interception.
Skins rather unfortunate to be behind here though could be a long second half for them!
