Packers at Cardinals (-6.5), 8:15 p.m. ET (NBC) -- When the Seahawks won they secured a spot in Carolina due to their status as the lower seed. Green Bay gets to run back the Week 16 bloodbath in Arizona where Aaron Rodgers was sacked eight times.

only seen as strong bet because of Steelers injuries. Steelers beat them in Denver only a few weeks ago, not a string bet by any means imo. Full strength I'd go Steelers but level of injuries I favoured Broncos
i was a little surprised to see Steelers at 4.45-5.0 as the game got going. To be honest was too scared to smash the sheite out of a Denver lay as this is not my sport and figured everybody else knew better or something I didn't. Sometimes the King has no clothes and today still might be one of those days. Thought Steelers were strong coming into playoffs and looked good last week. Backed Steelrs at 4.5 and 2.88 but only small bets
markets are priced up on recent hisotrical success in playoffs
hence why the Panthers were so big to beat the Seahawks
Denver receivers not shown up yet - loads of dropped catches. Expect them to get it together and win well enough in the end tbh.

Mike - During the playoffs i always find it useful to remember that the the teams in the playoffs are by in large the best teams in football. This is especially true of this divisional weekend. It would be no surprise if either team won and therefore as a generic rule teams should be priced as such.
The amount of people who get cleaned up on the sidelines is unreal. Surprised an old timer hasn't been killed!

nobody knows Mike. Steelers looking better, but 4th quarter is 'money time' in the NFL so it's all down to what happens in the next 30 to 40 minutes

Well, that was decidedly not pleasure. I got through ok in the end, but my God, what a marathon of tension! I'll be far more careful with NFL in future.

A little sour grapes on my part cos I had the steelers at 12s for the AFC, but before the fumble the decision by Tomlin not to take a low 50's field goal attempt and instead punt I can't get my head round.. Crazy!!
I thought it was a good decision by Tomlin. Manning giving himself up and then getting back up again got them rolling. But it all comes down to Toussaint's fumble. Steelers would have at least have been in field goal range
I just think in a low scoring game you take the chance at 3 instead of pinning back another 20yds, academic now roll on the championships....
Without doubt bankit you go for the three. Instead they punt they ball to get an extra 20 yards against a team that struggles to move the ball period. You go for the three and if you miss it's no disaster.
Tomlin is a clown always makes crazy decisions year in year out trying to be cute. The chap is a terrible game manager and I don't rate him one bit. Also going for it on 4 & 2 in the first quarter instead on taking the points was another silly decision. I thought Tomlin was correct to punt in those circumstances (strong x-wind, not a great surface) and obviously if it's a good punt it's not easy to field in the wind so decent chance of a turnover (the Steelers themselves muffed one). Just a bad punt
Anyone think GB should have gone for 2 after hail mary? Arizona could not have been mentally prepared for that. Their brains must have still been scrambled from what just happened.
Funny you mention that leroyb as I was thinking that when I was trying to sleep after the game. He gets his critics but it's something Mike Tomlin probably would have gone for especially as the Steelers have such a good strikerate attempting the 2 point conversion. The game is effectively on the line in that one play. Given the current rules leaving it to Overtime allows a coin toss to dictate whether you will be able to get the ball in the hands of your best player, and as it turned out, they never did. It takes balls to go for it but I think in that instance the ball could have easily popped out when Janis landed for the last gasp TD so Green Bay could have gone into it thinking well it's almost a free play to win the game from the clouds and as you say Arizona would have most likely been all over the place (did they have any timeouts left as well?)
Green bay were out of timeouts ( not that it makes a difference with nothing on the clock ) - personally I think the right decision was to take it to over time , packers must have felt even losing the toss that their defence was holding up. It would definitely have been a very brave decision to go for two
McCarthy said something along the lines of he wasn't that comfortable with the personnel ( inexperienced wideouts ) he had available for the two point plays......gotta think Cobb had been the one who'd got the majority of the reps for these.

Fair points and hindsight is always wonderful! I just feel like Aaron Rodgers and Green Bay got no reward for the amazing plays at the end of regulation - they were worthy of winning the game yet as they lost to me they are basically pointless. Sounds harsh but it's all about winning. If they had gone for the 2 points then I would have made them favourite3s to get it done, I think they were 5/9 on 2 point conversations but even though Zrizona had time to set themselves, mentally they would have been shot to pieces as the defense would have still been reeling from giving up two massive plays. You can spin it either way really that they would have really been up for it to make up for the TD or as I think, self doubt would have crept in, more chance of communication errors etc. Just for fun what play would you guys have called? Imagine Lacy in the backfield only for a bootleg play for Aaron to do his Triple H celebration! I think the element of surprise might have caught them out
Also how close was Clay Matthews to hauling down Fitzy at around the 40 yard line The wheels he showed to get back in position to make the play were exceptionally impressive but then I think he got caught in two minds of how to tackle him - no blame attached but given the quality player that he is, he is still probably thinking he should have gambled on making a jump tackle assuming Fitz would run back infield in which case he would have nailed him.

Yep Swagger you can really make arguements for either case , and as a green bay fan I was gutted how it played out. Also Clay should have really brought Larry down and even before that Palmer should have been sacked. All shoulda woulda coulda unfortunately 
Just to add MCCarthy has lost all faith in Eddie Lacy and I can't say I blame him. The chap to put it mildly has been a major disappointment and his weight is a disgrace. He was gassed at the end of his big run and any sort of fitness he would have went all they way for a touchdown.

Unbelievable grayhawk - that's who the packers got, a running back with so much talent!!! Now they have a running back who is over weight , banged up and spends most of his day on twitter talking about the food he has eaten

Also I know Lacy suffers from asthma which can't help with the training and running aspect so I will give him that in his defence !!!
Maybe they can get Marshawn next year... A coupl of good ones coming out in the draft this year, Elliot from Ohio State they probably can't get, but am reading Henry may not even be a first rounder. Apparently taking an RB with a high pick is frowned upon in some circles.
There is no way Green bay take Marshawn , it's just not the way they do things. They will draft a running back plus Marshawn is going to look for a big pay day if he even continue's.

Yes grayhawk I do but I don't know who is to blame there, but it's clear there has been some issue's between McCarthy and Rodgers this year. What I have seen of Janis I really like so not sure what took so long with him getting a look in.
They have depended far too much imo on Cobb waiting for him to turn his fortune's around and quite frankly he has been a huge disappointment
