Are Broncos playing into wind - or is it more cross-field?

Can I ask you NFL guys whether before the game Denver were regarded as, if not exactly virtual 'certainties', a very strong bet?
I was told today that Pittsburgh were depleted by injuries and are anyway nowhere near as good as the Broncos. True or exaggerated? |

flip flop

Full strength I had this as a 50/50. But so many reserves have stepped up post season, I thought this would be close.

Pittsburgh are depleted by injuries, but it isn't as cut and dry as that. there are many question marks surrounding this match up. Broncos have been shaky all season and their QB has been out injured and is arguably past his sell by date
By:
also, the Pittsburgh QB Big Ben has turned up and got over his injury issues, which was also a big factor. it's more like a Denver 1.7sp than a 1.35
By:
only seen as strong bet because of Steelers injuries. Steelers beat them in Denver only a few weeks ago, not a string bet by any means imo. Full strength I'd go Steelers but level of injuries I favoured Broncos

i was a little surprised to see Steelers at 4.45-5.0 as the game got going. To be honest was too scared to smash the sheite out of a Denver lay as this is not my sport and figured everybody else knew better or something I didn't. Sometimes the King has no clothes and today still might be one of those days. Thought Steelers were strong coming into playoffs and looked good last week. Backed Steelrs at 4.5 and 2.88 but only small bets

WHY BEN WHY

By:
markets are priced up on recent hisotrical success in playoffs
By:
hence why the Panthers were so big to beat the Seahawks

Thanks, guys.

Denver receivers not shown up yet - loads of dropped catches. Expect them to get it together and win well enough in the end tbh.
By:
Market really jumping around on change of possession - over-reacting each time
By:
Mike - During the playoffs i always find it useful to remember that the the teams in the playoffs are by in large the best teams in football. This is especially true of this divisional weekend. It would be no surprise if either team won and therefore as a generic rule teams should be priced as such.

The amount of people who get cleaned up on the sidelines is unreal. Surprised an old timer hasn't been killed!

Market love for Broncos unreal 1.62 there - don't care if they score TD
