Great game, how did the bengals lose it. Hill just needed to take 3 kneels, burn the steelers timeout and kick the FG. That would have been 4 up. They would have need to go length of field in 90 secs with no timeouts. Whichever team went through, they would have been banged up for next week.

This steelers team gave been so unlucky with injuries. And they won't win in Denver with a banged up offence.
They were in so much control until that evil **** Burfect decided to injury Big Ben and Antonio Brown. This is after he ended Bell's season a few months ago |

not having the stamina to stay up for that i just watched the recording. mental stuff!
two teams trying so hard to lose a football match, Cincy just that bit better at it tho  i never understand why deep in the game with possession and the clock winding down running backs still tuck the ball under one arm going into traffic. two hands on the ball and he is not getting the ball stripped like that. as for the pens, got to feel for the coach, you can't plan for that sort of stupidity. |

I still can't believe that final two minutes last night
 the steelers are riding their luck as usual and particularly Tomlin ( who I don't rate at all , he is the definition of luck ) but the bungles seriously imploded. That was the classic case of how to just hand the other team the football match , idiots Hard to make a case for me on Lewis staying in Ohio now and a couple of the players should be getting their p45s with him. It's excusable losing a game by mistakes on the field but to lose because of a complete lack of discipline isn't |

No they don't have to bring the arms around in the tackle like in rugby. as long as the tackle is not top of the helmet and the facemask or any other part of the players uniform isn't grabbed first then you can stop them pretty much any way you can.
you definitely used to see more rugby style tackles in the nfl in years past but they like to put in the big high hit and hope the ball pops out. of course the really big difference is that after a tackle in American rules football the ball is dead so the only focus is stopping the runner while in rugby the ball is still live and the tackler needs to think about getting up and back in position. |

My post seems to have gone northanlite
I am not sure of the tackling rules or blocking rules to be honest but those shoulder hits are terrible and need looking at. Imagine being speared by 20st of menace when you cannot see it coming. I have Seahawks and Packers for a 4 fold, only a knicker to keep it interesting. Just come back from Wisconsin. All is not well, most expect to be disappointed tonight but hopefully not disgusted like the Texanx and Kansans! |
