Swardean, as you know I'm no fan of the Seahawks but I'm not sure Vikings match up well.
Seahawks been shredded through the air. Big Ben carved them open at weekend. 500 yards of offence But Vikings are ground and pound with Peterson. Seahawks will concentrate on stopping Peterson and force Teddy to exploit their weakness through the air. I'm not sure he has the tools to do so. Packers did something similar against Vikings |
By:
Yes Clay, been looking at the match ups myself and was coming to the same conclusion as you. Seattle run defense has been good and they can throw everything at stopping Peterson. Still a big task to stop AP but if they can, not sure they can win with Teddy at the helm.
It will be a rare day, with Green Bay fans cheering on the Seahawks. |

Is a wild card berth such a hardship for the Packers? And my super bowl fancies the Steelers?
If you lick in the 5 berth you will be going to Washington/ or Giants at mo. I think the Packers would be big favs for that. Aldo for Steelers if they back the 5 slot they will be going to Indy or Huston. Again the Steelers will fancy it |

5th seed in either conference is not a bad place to be. Not sure the Steelers can get 5th though. Houston have a soft schedule (apart from Patriots). Steelers have a couple of tough ones and already a game behind. Kansas also a game ahead of Pittsburgh and have tiebreaker against them to boot.
All that said, its a long way out and everything still up for grabes. |

I like Dallas getting 4 in Washington next Monday night. This division is awful, and even at 3-8, Dallas are not totally out of the reckoning. Washington are not a good team, and if Dallas can play hard low risk football, they will be competitive. It will be interesting to see the line for Philly's trip to New England. Perhaps my favourite bet is a big underdog, coming off a big loss, don't see me being tempted to trust that shambolic rabble with my cash though.

Personally, I wouldn`t trust Sanchez if I knew the result.

Bridgewater is a player.

I wouldn't be so certain of the Packers even making the play offs from what i've seen the past 5 weeks....
Swardean.....i'll be cheering the Seahawks on purely from a financial point of view ....honest ...fancy them strongly, as it's been said already they match up very well against the Vikes......it's staggering what Peterson has done behind that line. |
By:
I fancy Green Bay to win the division. Minnesota have surprised me, but now at the business end of the season, their credentials will really be tested. I am in no way knocking them, but in the circumstances, I prefer Green Bay. In my opinion winning the division as opposed to securing a wildcard, is important, a three week road trip to San Fran is not impossible, but it would be difficult. If Green Bay got the 3 seed, it creates the possibility of the Championship Game at home, which would be huge.

By:
Evening Swardean , I'm a Packer man so it's more than financial but yes they have been grim in November - hopefully there is an improvement tonight!!!
|
By:
It's ok if you lose tonight as my Seattle will beat the Vikings for you on Sunday
|
By:
Can we settle for the Packers wining tonight and the Seahawks winning Sunday
|
By:
Morning Guys. I shall be watching the first half before heading to bed

Predictions? Personally I fancy the Packers to win, I think the team will pull their finger out and held out Rodgers. Lacy has looked good the past few games so I think they will get back on track.

Evening swag, suffered with your cowboys this year

Swardean - I still haven't recovered from Thanksgiving!

when the Bears defence ground the Packers down.. must have been sad times for the Packer Nation
|
By:
Sadly during the time without Romo the Cowboys offense was horrible so they cleared rushed him back when he was no way near ready to go. Over the past 18 months-2 years I have only seen him play two similarly poor games when he simply wasn't ready to play. The first game of last season vs 49ers after his second back surgery and last season the game on Thanksgiving versus the Eagles after his injury suffered to the Redskins. It was sad to see such a great player struggle so much - credit to the Panthers defense who were very efficient but a fit Romo wouldn't have made so many poor and dangerous decisions.
What is your view of Seattle this season? |
By:
I think they have been written off too early. Yes, they have lost 4 but all against good teams (except rams) and they could easily have won all of those.
Obviously not the team they have been last few years but that is a a high benchmark. Offence line issues and Lynch fitness not helped but Rawls has been an amazing find and will do well for us going forward Probably limp into playoffs and once there, no one will really want to play us. Please note this assessment is 100% non-objective |

Eddie Lacy must have had too much to eat during Thanksgiving and was benched. #GBvsDET |

Eddie Lacy has had two 100+ yard weeks in a row, so of course James Starks gets the start tonight. |

Green bay sitting Eddie Lacy is about as dumb as trying to make your toast in the shower. |

I haven't really watched much of the Seahawks this season to date so I appreciate the input. I watched most of the Steelers game - I thought it was an exciting game, the Steelers secondary is terrible but fair play to Russell to pick them off. I heard/read that the Seahawks had leads in all/most of those games heading into the fourth quarter so as you state, you guys are still a strong team who others wouldn't want to face in the play offs.
I think it's a difficult season to assess thus far. I really thought the Cowboys would have a say but the injury to Romo just killed the team. The Pack have really struggled on offense (although I do fancy them to get out of the rut), the Patriots just have so many injuries but obviously still have Brady, I like the Steelers except their secondary is awful plus Big Ben seems to be going down, i'm not convinced about the Panthers simply as at some point they will come against a team who don't turn the ball over or basically succumb to their defense and give them 10+ points in turnovers and apart from Olsen do they have enough on offense to get it done? Not for me. Denver have really impressed me in certain games (all at home) but will their young QB get it done - it's a big ask. I haven't had a chance to watch much of the Cardinals this season - have they impressed you? |
