Denver look a better team this season IMHO. More balanced. I like their D this season. Last season it could quite easily get gashed. This season they are playing tough.
Seattle offence is stuttering and is on the brink of regressing badly.lynch is superb but Wilson's scrambling will only take them so far....those redskins hit him hard last night.
I gave  backed the Colts ante post and I'm confident they will contest the AFC championship game against Denver. But Denver look to have the feel of champions this year. They didn't play well in Seattle at all yet probably should have won and they dismantled a very good Arizona D at the weekend.....not many teams will do that to Arizona this season

RW was 18/24 for 201y, with 2 TD throws lost to vaguely spurious flags, for a passer rating of 127.3 to become the first man to pass for over 200 yards and rush for over 100 yards in a Monday night game. Not the shabbiest return for a fella who is set to make just $817,000 including bonuses in 2014, as he nears the end of his rookie contract.

No Zack Miller last night, which is always a great outlet for Wilson, and still cruised to an on the road win.   Percy Harvin had three negated TDs.   I know Seattle push it to the limits, in regard of aggression and rules but most weeks they will not get called like they did last night.   IF wilson, lynch and harvin stay fit, can't really see anyone stopping them getting home advantage again = another return to the superbowl.   Whether they can beat Denver again if they meet is another question.

Good picks this week Clay, VWD.   I think we said we would look at power ranking from Week 5.   My current:-

1) Seattle
2) Denver
3) New England
4) Indianapolis
5) San Francisco

Swardean, you are watching a different team from me. Their offense....as I stated above.....is on the brink of collapse and the famous 'legion of boom' are not as good as many thought.
Dallas owned them last night, absolutely owned them. Seattle were massively flattered to get anywhere near Dallas as the Cowboys gifted them so many points.
No way will this team win another Super Bowl
Report Swardean October 13, 2014 4:21 PM BST
They had a horrible night, last night Clay but this year you are very foolish if you write them off, every team is likely to have bad weeks.

So who is going to win it?
Report ClayDavis October 13, 2014 6:05 PM BST
They weren't great against the Skins either and only an awful performance by Denver saved them in the previous game and before that San Diego tore them a new one. Wakey wakey man. This team is bust
Report Swagger October 14, 2014 12:38 AM BST
I think it was more a case of the Cowboys being fantastic all over the pitch last night (special teams aside obviously!). The Romo had time in the pocket and except for one poor throw which should have been picked before Escober landed the touchdown, he was excellent - pleasing he had a good day when a lot expected him to blow it. Would any cornerbacks have handled big Dez in that kind of form last night? Terence Williams is making the big plays on a regular basis, Witten is a man-mountain, Murray is a beast, Zack Martin and the offensive line have been exceptional and the defence led by Mcclain has been out of this world. I think the credit has to go to the Cowboys who even as a fan, I am surprised and impressed by how good they have been so far this season.

The Seahawks will be there or thereabouts again but given they are in such a tough division their 3-2 record makes it interesting - their two matches against the 49ers could be even more explosive this season, if that's possible! Crazy

Still disagree Swardean?

Just give Manning and Denver the Super Bowl now and save us all the 3 month wait.
Report Swardean October 21, 2014 11:04 AM BST
Definitely dont seem to be quite a strong Clay but I would say they are still likely to win the division, and plenty of time for things to turn around.

Must say - i got off the Seattle horse last week after the Dallas loss-they seem a shodow of last year- didn't see this week coming!! SB looks so open now - I certainly need a re-think!
Report Swardean October 22, 2014 8:57 PM BST
Neither the bookies or the punters know what to make of the bowl market. Seattle now 3rd favs at 10s but the two teams ahead of them in the betting, they have already beat this year! Go figure.
Report dlarssonf October 23, 2014 10:39 AM BST
Well because as things stand them two teams ( Dallas & Green Bay ) are 6-1 &  5-2 and much more likely to win their division than Seattle are at 3-3 .  Although I still think Seattle are going to be in the shake up they can't really afford much more slip ups
Report dlarssonf October 23, 2014 10:44 AM BST
Maybe one of the two teams you are talking about is Denver , sorry!!! In that case though your point doesn't really merit an answer if you think Seattle should be ahead of Denver in the betting as things stand
Report Swardean October 23, 2014 9:10 PM BST
No not saying they are the wrong way around in the betting, jut making the point that anyone can beat anyone this year
Report liam1982 October 23, 2014 11:17 PM BST
easy win for denver tonight?
Report macca18 October 24, 2014 12:36 AM BST
Not sure.

Chargers are dangerous and won this same fixture last season.

Denver have a better defence this season though.

1.26 seems short to me.
Report Colldogg October 24, 2014 1:44 AM BST
Fancy the Chargers to at least keep it to a 1 posession game going in to the 4th quarter 2 minute warning. Chargers started off well so far. The play might be to back the Chargers on the handicap at the end of the Broncos current drive.
Report macca18 October 24, 2014 2:52 AM BST
The decision to reverse the "fumble" could have changed this game for the Broncos

took Denver -7.5 and got 2.22. Very lucky at the time with the turnover overruled in Denvers favour and a series of penalties by Chargers. Still, glad that lady Luck is peeing in someone else's bovril for a change! Happy days!
Report Swardean October 24, 2014 3:49 AM BST
Indeed whisperingdeath, I never feel guilty when I get a slice of good luck, cos we all know the tables will be reversed... and then some, in the coming weeks.

Laugh

and again! Penalty on the interception!

This should be a TD.
Report Whisperingdeath October 24, 2014 4:09 AM BST
and again!

A fumble recovered by Wes Welker my old mate from New England!

Lucky, lucky, luckyLaugh

Ha I thought my goose was cooked by a 53 yard field goal miss but another interception by Denver really has me thinking this game has been decided up there!
