What's all this San Diego nonsense? it's ends tonight and it will end in spectacular fashion. Manning has all his weapons available to him for the first time since the beginning of December and that signals lights out for the Chargers. This isn't Andy Dalton we are talking about.
I was quite keen on the Chargers covering the spread the last time they went to Denver but I'm not tonight. I felt there was only one team that wanted to win that game and it was as bad as I have seen Denver play in a long, long time.
With all his weapons available to him, I think Denver will score at least 30 points - probably even 40. It's not going to be too cold and the wind shouldn't be a factor.
San Diego's run defense isn't great and their secondary has been getting shredded all season long.
Where I do respect the Chargers is in their run game. it's very good. But the Broncos, although rubbish on D for most of the season, have been very decent against the run and I'm hoping they will shut the Chargers down. The Chargers have been successful recently by keep the ball out of Rivers' hands. And no wonder. He only threw for 160 yards last week. But Denver score quickly and heavily and Rivers will have to start airing it out and this is where it will all go wrong for the Chargers.
I can see this being a blowout and a big blowout at that.

Is this a change of heart? In the comp, you said broncos (narrowly)
Everybody talks about value when it comes to betting ? Clay is betting against a -8 line. That is a line set by a linemaker who is a million times better at setting a line then Clay, with more contacts, algorithms, computing power at his disposal.
Every point Clay makes has been considered and built into the line. If you are going against the handicap, you must have something that you apply more weight to then the LM does. That's it. It's not complicated.

A 5 second fact check shows his yardage was worse then that, and Clay can't even get his figures right. Rivers actually threw for 128 yards, but was 75% He didn't have to do any more. SD won. Clay thinks this is a detriment.
Clay picks Denver at -8 based on faulty facts. I don't care if you pick Denver or not. I do care about how you continually spew garbage.

As I said, I'd still go with Broncos - anyone would be hard-pushed not to in Mile High - just hope for entertainment purposes its close.
It will be interesting if the Chargers are right in it. Could happen as I think the Chargers were very very good against Bengals - I think they would have won even if the Bengals (ie. Dalton) hadn't imploded, and I rated the Bengals
