Ok, ok, dodgy etiquette to start the match thread when I do not have a position in this one (even though an Eagle fan).
Logically I think the Saints will win, the poor road team thing is over-done and is a bit of a rallying call for them I think. Brees is a top tier QB, Foles is all potential.
Saints are an experienced play-off team, Eagles are not and funny enough are a better road team than home team

Ehmm, not quite....there is something to this away form for the Saints, (listened to a few podcasts and picked-up on something and followed it up)...Brees throw, while accurate its not fast with a spiral that cuts through the air and reduces accuracy and pace outdoors and in cold weather. So its a real thing.
Saints defense ranked 4(?) didn't look that good whenever I saw it live - plus poor-ish against the run.......McCoy is looming, spells trouble!!
Eagles defense awful, but improving....its not play-off calibre - fact.
I could go on and on......just don't know.

Have to go with the saints. Lived in NO for awhile when the fans still wore paper bags on their heads during the games with the word "Aints" written on the forehead.
Foles had the rest of the first half to throw that pass. Hats off to the O-Line.

Yep, just saw the replay, lazy assumption on my part. Was too busy shouting at the telly to take notice at the time.
Saints have left 10-14 points on the field so far with these turnovers, good game although totally different than earlier

Man my NFL season is on the line here, Will only be left with the Colts to win the AFC title if the Eagles lose tonight and with the Colts defence that isn't going to happen. Come on Eagles, find a way to win and then get on the road next week where you will be lots more comfortable!

Why? If they don't make its a 2 score game and the saints have the ball at the one. If they kick the field goal its still a two score game.
Why should they take the field goal? If they take field goal they still got to score twice in 4th quarter and would rely on getting the ball back from New Orleans twice. If they did not get the TD they would have still had to score twice but had New Orleans pinned on the 1yard line so right call imo. Anyway what the hell, TOUCHDOWN EAGLES!!! 
... yep but would only need Td and FG, not TD and TD...plus the risk of not getting in and momentum swing. Accept your logic, but I'd be a conservative coach....

There was no logic at all last week. As a bears fan i was laughing my arse off thinking their stupidity had cost them the game and would have been living off that for years. It's a shame that we have a defence that sucks so badly this season that it diddn't matter

if I remember if they had of went for 2 and failed and then bears scored a td they would be 9 behind rather than still in with a shout while 8 behind

McCarthy did the right thing by going for one last week......kept it to a one score game even if the Bears scored next ( would have been down by eight ) no-one watching that game didn't think the bears wouldn't score again the way those defences were playing.
If I remember correctly though it was late in the 4th quarter though and no guarantee they would have got the ball back if we had picked up a few first downs and run the clock down? Had they not got the ball back and we won by 1 then the Packs would have been crucified for it.

I feel your pain but with some improvements to the secondary they will be among frontrunners next year. I will be backing them to repeat the NFC east success and small stakes NFC conference and superbowl wins
hard to ever narrow a game down to 1 play but the cooper drop on 3rd and 4 was what changed it. if he had gained possesion he was possibly off to the house which wud of made it a philly lead instead of 13 behind.
