Good D yes, good tough running game, but I don't actually think Wilson is anywhere near being an elite passer, and the WRs are no better than average.

Their schedule was ridiculously weak, wins over Carolina in wk 1 and SF wk2 was about as good as it got bar wk 13, (Panthers didn't start firing until  wk 6). The only game which i'm impressed with was taking down NO in wk 13.

If they come up against a quick scoring team like the Eagles, Pack or Broncos i can see them getting too far behind without the weapons to catch up before the  clock ticks down.

Am i being too down on them, just because they're not a flashy outfit? (..and because I can't stand Pete Carroll) Devil

The problem is CJ, these quick scoring teams arent able to score quickly against this defence.   They havent been beaten by more than 7 points in over 2 years so are in every game. Whether they should be 5/2 is another matter, but if a team is only averaging 14 points against them, they dont need an all guns blazing passing game, especially with the read option plays they have available to them.

I think the Seahawks are massive lays at the current price for the NFC (evens as I type). They just don't have the momentum and I can't see the week off doing them too much good unless their opponents get bashed up in the wild-card round. Although SF got trounced early in the Season in Seattle I can't see a repeat of this should the two meet in the play-offs given how many were missing for SF in wk2. Couple that with Philly being on an awesome run & evens just looks silly IMO.

Despite the Seahawks beating the Saints easily a few weeks ago, I am still adamant that the Saints match up very well to the Seahawks. They have the big, powerful receivers (Colston, Graham), added with pace of Stills, Lance Moore and Thomas and Sproules coming out of the backfield. Along with a very good and intelligent QB. As the Saints said afterwards, everything that could have went wrong did go wrong that night. I reckon it would be a lot closer if the two meet again (I think the Saints have a huge chance in Philly).

Outside, freezing cold, snow forecast and muddy field - I couldn`t bet the Saints. Not saying they won`t win, after all it`s only the Eagles they are playing, but personally I wouldn`t touch the game with the proverbial barge pole.

..... however, if forced to get off the fence, I would just favour Philly.

I suspect the Saints would be getting +5.5 in Seattle, I would be all over them just as I was last time Sad

can you point me to the thread saying how fabulous, awesome and unbeatable the seahawks are?
i think the comments on them have been pretty measured.
had a great season so far but general agreement is that they have had a nice schedule for the main part and i concur.
i'm going to stick up for them though and if you want to pick holes in the seahawks then honestly do the same to the other outfits still standing and while i might agree they may just come up short this season only a one eyed fool (you know who you
are) wouldn't agree they have a serious shot.

They're as solid all-around as any team left. And have home field advantage locked in. It will take a lot for me to oppose them under those conditions.

rev like -? against Andrew Luck? ffs!! And a yes beside Cam Newton CryCryCry Luck is a class act. And a yes beside Rivers!!! And a no beside Nick Foles. What's wrong with Foles? Take out the two Dallas games (yes, I know, still can't work it out) his QB rating is through the roof. And a no beside the Carolina D....the Carolina D have been excellent this season

They aren't a shoe in for the SB team, and aren't priced up as one either... 1.45x1.45x1.85 for the SB, not sure how that's a massive lay for anyone.
They where a great team last year who easily could have gone to SB, this season tied best record in NFL, improved team from a year ago and maybe Percy Harvin is ready for the play off.

A few weeks ago they boat-raced Saints at home and on a short week their match up in SF came down to refs fecking up a Crabtree fumble and a big run from Gore.

Sorry clay-quite right -I got my qb/d mixed up for carolina!!
Luck i rate too ,but plenty to prove at this time of year
rivers-why else have sd got there?,
Foles ,plenty to prove against a good defense in play -offs especially

He's a waste of time. I would not bank on him being ready for training camp!

yeah, have to say the -8 on Seattle looks much too generous vs. the -10 to Peyton

they hardly ever lose at home, have the best defense in the league and have an ordinary middle of the league offense. if that equals or doesnt equal "not being all that" i really have no idea to be honest.

anybody wanting to lay them would be much better advised laying them in each game though. say for arguments sake they play carolina then the colts or chargers in the superbowl, the combined odds of them winning all 3 probably wont reach 6/4. 3.4 for the superbowl or 1.9 for the nfc is a shocking lay compared to laying the 1.28 against new orleans then taking it from there. not that personally i can see them losing to the saints. but if they dont lose, then laying them to win anything isnt gonna look too good anyway is it.
