Usually the in play threads for individual matches in college die a death, so lets lump them together. What ones take your eye? I am looking forward to the number one pass team (Fresno) taking on USC on Saturday. Also my team (Texas) take on Oregon. Should be a fascinating watch, with Mack leaving (sadly it was time) and Oregon blowing title chances again this season. Can't wait for the Rose Bowl too and see that Spartan defence in action. Unfortunately there are some really poor match ups this year, but I'm sure there will be enough action and surprises to keep us happy

Last time Duke won a bowl game was the 1961 Cotton Bowl against Arkansas. The score was 7-6. A bit different today!

Feel sorry for Johnny really. Had to carry teams at high school level and at college too. Would be nice to see him in a team that can defend.

When he goes pro, he will be a high draft pick, so the team he gets picked by still won't have a very good defense.

If your knee hits the ground the play is dead in college football. You don't need to be down by contact like in pro football.

Some great matchups today. Who are we all looking forward to seeing? A big game from Clowney hopefully. A defencetastic game between Stan/Mich St is the highlight for me. Will be cheering on N Texas in their bowl as the wife's uncle hails from there Baylor should be firing on all cylinders with Reese being back. Although they scored well enough without him it's a big bonus to have him back ad I can see Baylor hitting UCF hard.

Really looking forward to the Rose Bowl. There is going to be some seriuos hitting in that game as both offenses like to run power football and they're going against mean defenses even with Bullough out for Michigan State.

I think it's a huge blow for Michigan missing Bullough. He is like the QB on defense for them. Without him I'm not sure they will be able to slow down Stanford. I'm very keen on Stanford on the spread. I'm pretty confident they will cover

She's ok like ! Not buying all this draft love for Bortles .... plenty of inaccurate throws and bad reads tonight and in other games I've seen. I'll be interested to see Tajh Boyd playing on friday as I think he's a much better QB at this stage of his career .... not sure how well he'll adapt to the NFL though or how good lookin his bird is !
Oklahoma is probably my favourite play to cover of the bowl season. They obviously aren't as good as previous seasons, but Bama don't batter teams like they did. Sooners will show up and play hard. Bama in single digit win for me.
I can't see the Trevor Knight (if he plays)or the Bell Dozer coping with the Alabama defense. If 'Bama show up angry that they aren't in the championship game like they did in 2010 (the last time they weren't in the big game) then this could get ugly!
these meaningless 6,5 hours 58-55 bowl games with all those no-name juniors and the awful music are an insult to real sports fans
Two very good matchups tonight. Can OK ST match their rivals Oklahoma and put in a great bowl performance? Coming up against a SEC and former Big 12 rival in Missouri. Missouri's 2 losses are against Auburn, who they were neck and neck with for most of the match, and S Car. No shame in losing to those 2 teams, and a very solid 11-2 season. OK ST had some great wins. They took down Baylor easily, though after the debacle v UCF perhaps a little of the shine has gone off that win. When they're off they are badly off though, and are capable of losing to teams like WVU. I shall be backing Mizzou, but a part of me wouldn't mind an OK ST win so as to help the Big 12 rep, especially after the shocker of a bowl by my team - longhorns.

Clemson and Tajh were quite impressive, despite making it hard for themselves with loads of stupid penalty and a horrific final series when they should have just their normal offence and bled the clock out. I will be interested to see where Tajh ends up in the NFL as I think he's the real deal but Sammy Watkins is going to be amazing wherever he goes.

Certainly did Clay. They were wrong price through a lot of the match imo. Shame the matches clashed. I do like watching Ohio lose lol

FSU offense definitely not clicking, but props to Auburn d stepping up for once this season.

This may sound mad florida st down 11 at ht but it wud not suprise me that not only do they come back and win but all cover -10.5, everything is goin too smoothly for auburn and if florida state score a td in there 1st drive i cud see auburn implode. Florida cud easily rack up 4tds and a fg which wud give them 41 auburn will be lucky to break 30.
the first half is a carbon copy of 2006 BCS between Ohio State and Florida, The Buckeyes came in massive favs and there QB Troy Smith was the Heisman winner and they blew up
