Originally I wanted to stay clear of this game. But why oh why are the Bears favs to beat the Cowgirls tonight? They have the worst ranked defense in the league, they have been shredded time and time again and just can't stop teams from moving the ball with ease. Demarco Murray could have a field day. Or if the Bears stack the box to stop Murray then Romo will have the middle of the field to hit Witten and Bryant. Whatever way u look at this, the Bears are a good match up for the Cowboys.
Shaun Lee returns for the Cowboys tonight and that will help them on defense big time which, admittedly, has it's own issues.
-7 tonight, strong winds, snow, the lot. Ground and pound. And the Bears are just awful against the run.

Not been down here for a while .... good to see a few are keeping the place alive.

I have to agree, I cant see why the boys aren't about 4-5 favs here .... Romo should be scoring at will against this Bears rabble shouldn't he ? Meanwhile Lee is back and BeWare is getting stronger by the week, while Marshall has clearly been struggling for weeks now, leaving Jeffrey the only obvious danger man for the Boys secondary.  11-10 looks very good to me and i must bet accordingly .... G'luck.
Report tommo0001 December 9, 2013 11:34 PM GMT
neither team has a defence of any kind, providing the rain stays away we could see a monster points fest here
Report rmccarthy16 December 9, 2013 11:54 PM GMT
Haha i agree sideshow, i couldn't see the cowboys getting beaten but now claydavis has tipped them i can.

On the negative, Romo 13-17 in the month of december, surely the 13 wins have come in Dallas, perhaps the cold gets to him?

Relentless waves of money lumping on daBears,  it is going to be very very very cold ..... are Punters simply rowing in with the TeeRow to bottle it,  in tough conditions in December angle ?

I think he'll be fine with a solid running game to help.
Report sideshowbob December 10, 2013 12:41 AM GMT
dallas are the better team fo sho. but they are prone to dodgy road games. and their defense is pretty much non-existent. id make them slight favs though.

Report Wallflower December 10, 2013 2:05 AM GMT
...... I should know better, Dallas not worth the effort.....defense is just too sh1tty..... then when you expect them to move up the field again Romo will throw an int.

Note to self .... never believe in the Cowboys.  Romo not done much wrong, maybe two bad throws, the rest of the team and the playcalling from the coaching staff was embarrassing.
Report DirkDiggler December 10, 2013 1:03 PM GMT
That made up nicely for the over disaster in Philly. Dallas are such a spot team, you know they're going to crumble and implode eventually, and have a few 'mares like last night during a season, it's just treading carefully round the few games they do play well. But I couldn't bet Chicago last night because they have a defense that gave up over 500 yards rushing in 2 weeks.
Report ClayDavis December 10, 2013 1:40 PM GMT
Dirk - and the Cowboys were shredding them on the ground last night until they, bizarrely, started chucking it around. They had a 3rd and 4 just over midfield, threw it, incomplete and then punted it, even though their D couldn't stop a thing!! Two downs to go 4 yards against the worst run defense in the league!!! The play calling with Dallas is a joke.
The Bears' play calling was excellent last night. They knew they had an advantage with their receivers and kept torching them through the air. Why oh why the Cowboys moved away from the run game I will never know
Report rmccarthy16 December 10, 2013 2:04 PM GMT
perhaps the big drift on dallas and tons of shrewd money for chicago?
Report DirkDiggler December 10, 2013 2:33 PM GMT
Clay - Dallas were smashed to pieces last night, sticking with the run game would not have changed that. Pretty sure I saw 6 TD's from 6 drives for the Bears before I went to bed, or something like that. Dallas had 200 yards rushing and still got whacked.
Report Wallflower December 10, 2013 3:43 PM GMT
I thought the same as Clay initially ... "why aren't they continuing to run the ball when it looked like it was very successful?".....but then the Bears did tighten-up and Dallas were having to run wider. However as Dirk said (agreeing again!!!) it made no difference whatsoever to the result. Dallas defensive performance will stay in the  memory (had a aggravating loss last night, all profits from night before goneSad) for a while by its very ineptitude. It was nothing short of woeful - no exaggeration.
Report DirkDiggler December 10, 2013 4:01 PM GMT
Poor advert for the NFL last night I thought, and on a night when I had a laugher in terms of betting (overs) I ought to have enjoyed the game more. I went to bed with a quarter to spare last night.

Hopefully better quality this weekend, and i'm looking for ward to Thursday Night in Denver.
Report ClayDavis December 10, 2013 5:37 PM GMT
In fairness, despite me being on the opposing side betting wise, the Bears' receivers were a joy to watch. Would love to see them up against the Hawks' secondary
Report sideshowbob December 10, 2013 5:50 PM GMT
not sure id give any credit to the bears. even that one "great" touchdown catch was a piss easy play to break up. i think i could throw for 400 yards against dallas and ive never played the game.

never seen a qb get so much time before in any nfl game. mccown really could have stood there all day and never got touched. so the receivers must be covered right? wrong. id love to know where all the cowboys defense were, cos they werent getting pressure yet the receivers were constantly open. even runnig up the middle, nobody there. im not convinced they really had 11 guys out there????

And yet the Cowboys had three interception chances - one taken but Zebras overturned on a holding call and two missed and they were in and out of the hands
