I don't get it.

1. They've lost TEN STRAIGHT GAMES!!! TEN!!!

2. They're on the road on a short week.

3. The Jags beat them 2 weeks ago.

I know the Jags are no great shakes either, at least they've won a couple of games on the bounce though.

I'm not sure eitherConfused.....and if they were ( based on playing better than 0-10, and played well against Patriots last week) 1.8 to 1.9 would be more like it, not 1.62!

no idea. makes no sense at all. itd take a brave man to bet on the jaguars to beat anybody, but itd take a crazy one to bet on houston at them prices.

I hate the expression 'trap game' to me that concept is just paranoid yank nonsense. But it seems a tad to good to be true to me, I cap this as a pick 'em to -3 Jags spread. I;m not going to second guess myself without really good reason though, so a small bet on Jax, or lay of Houston. I can definitely see this being back and forth too.

ive had one of my safe boring bets.
over 33.5 points at 1.25
think there should be plenty of points on offer.

i also would make the jags slight favourites. but i wouldnt back he jags against anybody, just cos theyre the jags basically Laugh

the jags have won 3 of their last 4. including away at houston.
houston have lost 10 in a row.

also ive traded out of my over 33.5 points bet. changed my mind. had second thoughts, its not quite as safe as id like. it relies on houston scoring points so the jags respond. bit dodgy. so not doing it.

jax will find it tough to score tonight, Given the HOU pass D & the JAX poor run O, the logic has to be to back HOU -3 tonight. Can't see a reason why this isn't a good bet? The texans last two road games versus ARX & KC saw them lose by 3 and 1 points. They've also kept it close in losses to NE, OAK, IND

It's a head scratcher DD. We improved v the pats, but cannot see this being more than a coin flip at best for Texans. Good value on Jags - don't say that too often Laugh

It is a head scratcher for sure. I can see the Texans running away with this game or the Texans yet again falling short in a tight game. Not sure which one is going to happen though. Going to have a long think about this before putting any money on it, if I bother putting any on at all.

No one could have forecast how bad a season the Texans have had but the Jags have probably achieved what everybody expected from them. Houston went toe to toe with the Pats last week and nearly beat them. Could the Jags have done the same? Personally, I doubt it very much. Houston are favourites because they outrank the Jags on both sides of the ball and have played better teams. All about opinions and there are some good judges on here and the arguement put forth that the Jags beat them away is a fair one, but imo, Houston are a far superior team and I can`t see anything but a Texan win. I`m all in straight up and -3 on the handicap. Enjoy the game and may the best team win.

So the Mighty Mac has spoken.  Nice and simple comparison of some meaningful stats.  People try to complicate things way too much.  I'm on Texas too.  ML, and I'm not trading out at my usual 15%.  One more stat.  Jags stink at home.
