Havent seen a topic regarding the college football that starts this week. I have done a lot of research on this years teams due to my job, and would like to know peoples opinions on the upcoming weekly games. I will be posting my best bets also.
I very much like the look of Teddy Bridgewater in the ante post Heisman Trophy market, particularly now Manziel seems to have self exploded in the off-season. Drifted like a barge, however, I do feel his price will now represent value if his football does the talking and the off-field shinanigans stops.
I think the off field stuff will go against Manziel, so he will really have to seperate himself from the field to win it, remember its a voted award, the only thing in his favor is that the US loves a redemption story, so if he cleans up his act and maybe does some work in the community he still could have a shot.

Really looking forward to the college football starting, exciting games, lots of points and great atmospheres.
Good shout on Bridgewater although I think Clowney may go close, he looks unstoppable! Manziel was incredible last year, like a computer game player but looks like the pressure has got to him.
Any fancies for the outrights? I quite like Stanford, good schedule and I think they can beat Oregon in their division who have lost their coach to the NFL.

Ive spent a lot of time looking at the outrights, great shout with Stanford look to have a good chance this year but they will need to win their division and I do like Mariota. For me Alabama look by far the strongest but at 5/2, 3/1, there is no value. So my selections are Ohio State and Louisville.

Alabama do look short at those prices, they've lost a lot of starters on both offense and defense. Three of their starting offensive line have gone but they recruit so well and in McCarron (who is under rated imo) a very experienced QB.
Ole Miss will be worth keeping an eye on this season, maybe not for this year but they've recruited some of the nations top high school prospects and will definitely be one to watch.
Any main fancies for week 1?

Hmm week one is tough. As always its best to wait 4-6 week sto get an accurate assessment and so stats can be evaluated etc. I do like Alabama -18.5. Always strong defensively and with McCarron who yes is very under rated and a formidable rushing attack, i can see them marching up the field at ease and pile on the points. Other than that not a great deal stand out, the handicaps seem high as bookies are siding heavily with the favs. Florida -20.5 i would say looks a bet. The double will be my bet this weekend. The Gators should be among the favs to win the title if they didnt have one of the hardest schedules in the league. But similar to Alabama, i cannot see them being stopped with the ball and their defence always stands them in good stead.
What you thinking for week one?

I've backed TJ Yeldon for the Heisman @ 20/1. Big price for the most talented RB Alabama have had for a while. In the past few seasons Bama have had a 1-2 combination with Ingram/Richardson, Richardson/Lacy, Lacy/Yeldon but I don't see that #2 guy this year so expect Yeldon to get a lot more action. The OL will be as dominant as usual.
Week 1 isn't a week to go mad with but the following are lines took my interest. Will look at the games in more detail before placing my bets though:-
Buffalo +35 @ Ohio State Miami Ohio +19.5 @ Marshall Miss State @ Oklahoma State -12.5 Penn State -8 @ Syracuse Georgia -2 @ Clemson LSU -4 @ TCU Washington Sate +16 @ Auburn

Anyone know much about tonights game? Florida state lost a lot of big players. Having read the previews and going off last season and the new QB for florida state i fancy them to win strongly. Pittsburgh look poor and will need to improve. But does anyone know if all the talk about the Florida state recruits is correct?? And they are as good as last years starters that have been taken in the NFL first round??
