Why has BT bought ESPN America UK? What sports are on that?
ESPN has built a brand synonymous with high quality sports coverage, and has a long history and heritage with US sport.
The almost 4,000 hours of live US sports will further strengthen BT's offering. The list includes Major League Baseball, NCAA College Basketball, NCAA College Football and NASCAR.

I've never been able to understand why Broadcasters in europe treat North American Sports fans with such disdain. Literally just as the Best Baseball season I cna ever remember heats up the plug gets pulled for no reason whatsoever. How much would it cost to just fire up another channel 4XX or what ever and stick ESPN on it for us. Treat us like the scum we are seems to be the Mantra.

I think it was free to view for the first day or two in order to try to entice people to subscribe, so that is probably why you were still able to view it after launch.
