Night after night after a match starts there is zero money in the market.
The reason for this is quite obvious in that no-one in europe can leave a price up without it being hoovered on a goal.
I'm sure an increase in the delay (to say 15/20 seconds) so no-one can possibly be hoovered, would improve liquidity.
What is there to lose, from Betfairs point of view? Surely something is better than nothing.

hmmmm, just imagine how you would feel as a backer or layer seeing that clock spin for 15 to 20 secs. I don't watch NHL but am sure a lot can happen in that time.

Granted, its not ideal, but it would be a better feeling than seeing your screen go red on a selection and then watch them score 5 secs later.
At the moment in-running you can see 1.2 for each selection throughout the entire match. Although a long delay would be a pain, at least it would encourage people to leave prices up at decent(ish) prices. |

The issue is that no one in Europe stays up all night to watch games.
Also, not a game for 'inplay' betting anyways. Fortunes can change in a second and it is the fastest game on earth. |

Maybe they should make hockey in some way interesting, that might help?
