A year ago the Houston Texans lost their final three games and beat the Cincinnati Bengals in the first round of the playoffs. This year the Texans lost three of their final four games and face the Bengals in the first round of the playoffs.

yes houston defence should take this, however they have in kubiak a vert poor coach and schaub is not a franchise quarter back.
Report willz January 4, 2013 9:06 AM GMT
The Bengals are in far better shape this year having won 7 of last 8 games compared to 3 of 8 last year. The defence is also a lot better. Tough ask for the Bengals as they dont have a great playoff record in recent times but it will be a closer game than last year.
Report DirkDiggler January 4, 2013 11:32 AM GMT
Tough game, two teams that do not instill you with confidence. Difference could be Arian Foster having a big game, which he had last year vs the Benagls (164 yards two TD's) with Tyler Yates @ QB. Bengals defense did not show up last year.
Report d13phe January 4, 2013 1:07 PM GMT
i think the bengals D is better than the Texans D

JJ Watt IS the Texans D.
Report dlarssonf January 4, 2013 1:34 PM GMT
Yep d13phe Bengals D is very good, that offence wouldn't instill much confidence for me though
Report GoBallistic January 4, 2013 1:58 PM GMT
I'm backing the Bengals for the whole shebang at 60+  Shocked  Good road team is something I look for in the playoffs
Report d13phe January 4, 2013 2:41 PM GMT
i agree.

the Bengals O is the problem.  I dont have much confidence in them at all particularly with Green ellis being banged up.
Report GoBallistic January 4, 2013 3:04 PM GMT
They seem quite confident BGE will suit up but I think they could win without him.  All depends on Dalton.  I'm not a big fan but at least the Steelers game showed that he can grind out a big win when he's struggling
Report DirkDiggler January 5, 2013 7:18 PM GMT
Bengals are some value here I think, with a probable trade at some point. Might be one to have a look at for a bit first.
Report chelters16 January 5, 2013 7:33 PM GMT
Im with the Bengals in this one, turnovers are the key to playoff ball and the Bengals are under less pressure as the away team, possibly flawed logic but Ive had a nice bet.........may trade out for green at the half.
Report kingmax January 5, 2013 7:38 PM GMT
how can you back a side who hasnt won a playogg game simce 1990!!! YES 1990

Saying he has never won one is a little harsh, he has never played one

Texans O line and running game (=play action passing game) been a problem second half of the year. Simply must improve that!
Bengals only a few pieces from a great team. If Dalton can step up his game and play calling is more deep balls for A.J. Green, Bengals got the ability to win today...
Under 43.5pts Watt and Atkins to take the game over Cool
Report TexassportsagentBuzz January 5, 2013 8:45 PM GMT
No.2 recievers and Tight ends on each team will be critical I cant imaine the defences will leave Aj Green or Andre Johnson in 1 on 1 coverage
Report TexassportsagentBuzz January 5, 2013 8:49 PM GMT
ffs Texans fans top 10 city population wise but can't sell out a play off game, what a joke
Report Swagger January 5, 2013 8:51 PM GMT
I'm still recovering after Dallas blew it last week, how about you Texas? Also, out of interest would you give the Romo another season in the hope the Defence will stay healthy?
Report TexassportsagentBuzz January 5, 2013 8:54 PM GMT
Definitely I would give Romo another shot, I still think he gets too much criticism a lot of those int's he threw before the Skins game were balls that Austin and Dez could have made plays on
Report TexassportsagentBuzz January 5, 2013 8:56 PM GMT
I still think it shouldn't have come down too that final game although i'm sure Giants will feel the same after starting 6-2
Report TexassportsagentBuzz January 5, 2013 9:04 PM GMT
Ok good luck bengals fans and backers I will be back after the game
Report Beaniash January 5, 2013 9:22 PM GMT

Has anybody noticed the delay on this game ... have I been missing something or is this on about a 20 second delay which is more like the BBC broadcasts than Sky.
Report TexassportsagentBuzz January 5, 2013 10:26 PM GMT
All part of Daltons evil scheme he knew he wouldn't throw a td on the drive so throw a INT to pin Houston in their own 10 and then pick 6.

Andy Dalton = Genius Cry

mine is at leat 30 seconds... 1 play behind... pathetic

Report caramba January 5, 2013 10:28 PM GMT
it's being said in the other thread (wildcard weekend) there is a delay on Sky indeed.
Report deeppockets January 5, 2013 10:28 PM GMT
I thought Sky was only about 3-5 seconds behind not like this
Report TexassportsagentBuzz January 5, 2013 10:37 PM GMT
Constantly stall in the red zone. If Arian can't run it in Texans always struggle.
