Just saw a long one by the Steelers (about 60 yards?) which made me wonder what the record is. Tried searching on the internet but all the records stated seem to include the run by the receiver after the catch but I was looking for just the distance of the throw from the QB to the receiver.

impossible...he is talking about the length of the throw
The longest pass attempt in NFL history was on December 10, 1972. It was thrown by Jim Hart and travelled a distance of 98.3 yards.

not sure I can count that orioles but that's some throw nevertheless
