Actually think Bears are better with Jason Campbell.
this is a tough game to call but should be a great game to watch I also Kapaernick but this Bears D is mean |
By:
Campbell is no mug

-3.0 points the 49ers on the spread for me. It seems the quarterback situation is a 50/50 for both teams, SF were poor last week and will want to put on a show. Others on here commented that they were the best side during the first two weeks of the season - they will want to prove the early season form hasn't washed away since.

Anyone know how you can watch this? Not on sky or channel 4, must be somewhere?

bbc red button

10 days ago this looked like being the game of the year, back up QBs for both tempers enthusiasm a little so I can't approach this game with any sort of punting head.
Points have bombed to a level where over might be the smart call. Gun to my head I'd be with Bears +3.5 but I can't get excited about this one now... |
By:
Haven't got the results to hand but haven't the Bears been better away from Soldier Field?
But also don't the Bears struggle against sides with winning records? |
By:
I don't like the Bears in big spots, they're kind of a SD-lite. SD choke every big game they ever play. But, Campbell is a proven NFL QB, what has Kapernick done?
That's the problem here. 34.5 is a real low number, and the Bears D has been scoring for fun. Smith or no Smith, I think the 49ers were better last season than this. I just don't like trusting the Bears though. |
By:
marshall without cutler is bad news for the bears...special teams contest tonight..still should be a decent game
By:
this is basically Gore vs Bears D and forte vs the 49ers D
if i am being honest the form points towards the Bears D and Forte but wouldnt be surprised to see the 49ers step up tonight really tough game to call. Special teams will be key as well |
By:
Unders/Overs is a shade too low for me but i'm not confident to back overs, so thats a no play.
Like the bears s/u and with the points in this one, campbell could be starting qb in the nfl and will have took practice reps all week. Tebow mark 2 kaepernick still has it all to prove with the weight on his shoulders. |
By:
a defensive touchdown would be worth a go. if betfair ever had betting for that.
By:
For some interest, I've put a small bet on +5.5 sacks (@2.01), and on a defensive or special teams TD (@2.73) at Pinnacle. With the injuries, no idea who'll come out on top, so ignoring those markets and planning to enjoy the game :)

Would like to stay up for this but 1.40ko is late for a monday may struggle to stay awake.
Didnt find it so hard earlier in the season but as the winter draws in its tough. Can you sky plus behind the red button? |
By:
No otherwise I would probably be one of many recording this garbage coverage....it is hard staying awake when the league standings are being shown over and over
By:
bbc red button has a 10 second delay so beware!
By:
Is it really only 10 seconds? I thought it was closer to a minute or two when I last watched on it. Or maybe that was Channel 4. I'm old, I forget.
No plans to do anything in play, so no matter for me. Did well on Ravens-Steelers game yesterday, so not pushing it tonight. Better be a good game, though. |
By:
Was different last week harry they had a "studio" set up with some dude and Rocky Boiman. Was a big improvement on previous weeks anyway.
By:
the packers seattle game on the monday was a lot longer than 10 seconds
By:
It was Darren Fletcher who does BBC 5Live and the Inside The Huddle podcast with Neil Reynolds who was presenting last week. It's supposed to be him and Neil for the duration but Reynolds couldn't make it last week so they got Boiman to stand in.
It actually worked quite well, and it was arguably better than Channel 4's coverage where Carlson thinks he's a flucking comedian and never seems to give a straight answer to any question without first making some kind of shiite joke. He's such a good pundit too that it's a shame he has to resort to that. Fletcher and Boiman stuck to the game, discussed the results from the Sunday, showed some highlights and took some Tweets from viewers about NFL matters. It was so much of an improvement on the scrolling results and outdated player profiles, and that's even taking into account it was the Steelers and the Chiefs last week. |

CALL ME CRAZY HERE BUT I'M ON THE BEARS TONIGHT BIG TIME ... THEIR QB JASON CAMPBELL WAS ACTUALLY A STARTER TO ME THE BEST BACKUP IN THE NFL (SORTA LIKE TAKIN OFF AGUERO BRINGIN ON DZEKO) SO THIS ISN'T ANYTHING NEW TO HIM, THE OTHER THING IS BEARS WILL SACK THE SHJIT OUT OF HIM FROM THE JUMP AND THAT WILL JUST DEMORALIZE HIM AND CONFIDENCE WILL GO.
49ERS SECONDARY HAS BEEN WOEFUL PAST FEW GAMES SO WHO KNOWS IF THIS IS FIXABLE THIS SEASON ... I JUST HAVE THE FEELING BEARS WILL IF ANYTHING COVER THE SPREAD BUT SOMETHING TELLS ME THEY'LL WIN TONIGHT |
By:
i havent watched the bbc since about week 2. the music did my head in. didnt know they had a studio now, i think i'll record it then.
By:
probably more than 10secs it was last week just a warning to those that thought it was live :) bears too big at 3's imo gl all
By:
Well done BBC for FINALLY getting a studio - missed last week so no idea if these guys are any good, but not having to sit through the endless musical interludes is going to be wonderful.
Can't call this one, will see how it develops. |
By:
Delay on BBC is definitely more than 10 seconds. More like a full minute.

my word if the bears can win from here I would be impressed.10-0 against the niners.bears not potent enough
By:
Whoever rated Kaepernick highly, kudos. You wouldn't think we was a backup; probably wouldn't be in a lot of other teams.
By:
best balanced team in the nfc making a mockery of the bears
By:
cake or death
how did you come up with that name ![]() bears 0 niners 17, bears have zero chance in this game unless they force 8 turnovers at least |
By:
Massacre
By:
They normally do force a lot of turnovers, Harry - lead the NFL in interceptions, and a fair few forced fumbles, too. (nfl.com stats suck).
Being made to look very ordinary tonight. |
