I reckon the under 49 points is the play here.

Been looking at this matchup for a while and I reckon both teams will look to primarily run the ball and control the clock at least for the first half.

Might be some value on the under in the first half and for it to open up in the second half.

Do the Lions have a running game?
Report Sudoku_Junior October 22, 2012 4:39 PM BST
Just took the lions with the points. Think the win at philli will have gave them lots of confidence going into this, i know the bears are off a bye, but think detroit are slightly underrated and could keep this close.

d13phe - just taken the unders then thought I'd check out what the forum had to say. Agree with your analysis - esp with rain about.

Big divisional game. Both teams are passing teams with gung ho qb`s in Stafford and Cutler and both teams struggle at times to run the ball. Would rather have Bears at home with Cutler at qb and rather have the Chicago defense on my side.

Bears -5.5

The Bears are all about the rush imo

not sure Detroit will air it as much as usual with the Bears being hot on picks this year

lol Harry - indeed. d13 - my thoughts precisely - Big divisional match ups tend to be tighter affairs than might at first be obviously. Just hoping it's a bit cagey to bring the points unders in.

Fancy Johnson or Pettigrew for first TD... I'll take a punt that Spaeth might even get lucky this game and score a TD.

I'll wade in with my suggestions then (by all means probably incorrect!) but as I see it as a bit of an NFL nut...

Highest scoring half 2ND (appx 1.95 ish)

Highest scoring quater 3RD (appx 5.9 ish)

Over 9.5 points 3RD (appx 1.7 ish)

They do occasionally have some decent foreign football games on  but they should have an ESPN2 channel so they can screen the stuff they pay big for, like the rugby or English football - and stick stuff like French or Italian football on ESPN2.

That was an awfully hard match to watch! Especially considering how many times the ball was in the red zone in the 3RD!! Didn't think Stafford had a good game for alot of the match but then when you looked at the Lions.....they just didn't run hardly anything....at all! So considering he was out there for most of the game especially at the end with the predictable pass offence he didn't do that bad a job with what he had, but it was oh so dire to watch!!
Report HARRY22 October 23, 2012 4:45 PM BST
bears defence very good but detroit not protecting the ball in the redzone was criminal...bears offered very little on offence...packers have more to fear from the vikings than any of these two teams
