I reckon the under 49 points is the play here.

Been looking at this matchup for a while and I reckon both teams will look to primarily run the ball and control the clock at least for the first half.

Might be some value on the under in the first half and for it to open up in the second half.

Do the Lions have a running game?

Just took the lions with the points. Think the win at philli will have gave them lots of confidence going into this, i know the bears are off a bye, but think detroit are slightly underrated and could keep this close.

d13phe - just taken the unders then thought I'd check out what the forum had to say. Agree with your analysis - esp with rain about.

Big divisional game. Both teams are passing teams with gung ho qb`s in Stafford and Cutler and both teams struggle at times to run the ball. Would rather have Bears at home with Cutler at qb and rather have the Chicago defense on my side.

Bears -5.5

The Bears are all about the rush imo

not sure Detroit will air it as much as usual with the Bears being hot on picks this year

lol Harry - indeed. d13 - my thoughts precisely - Big divisional match ups tend to be tighter affairs than might at first be obviously. Just hoping it's a bit cagey to bring the points unders in.

Possibly 2 of the NFL's most unpredictable teams, it's an intriguing match-up.  I cannot offer any predictions on the score or winner, it's a real headscratcher

Fancy Johnson or Pettigrew for first TD... I'll take a punt that Spaeth might even get lucky this game and score a TD.

I'll wade in with my suggestions then (by all means probably incorrect!) but as I see it as a bit of an NFL nut...

Highest scoring half 2ND (appx 1.95 ish)

Highest scoring quater 3RD (appx 5.9 ish)

Over 9.5 points 3RD (appx 1.7 ish)

Hate to agree with Beanish given my aversion to his CAPS - Happy - Detroit are airing it out which makes this a toss-up only if they are lucky. For me - Chicago at 1.4. Good luck all.

Looked like an easy catch for Megatron there - could be one of those nights for Detroit.

Would have made sense having this standard of coverage about 10 years ago when streams were impossible to come by, but theyve made a halfarsed job of it at best.

Wish it had stayed on ESPN this year

ESPN KNOW HOW TO DO FOOTBALL HALF TIME ANALYSIS HIGHLIGHTS THE WHOLE LOT. BBC NEED TO STICK TO THE FA CUP OR SOMETHING

Still, I remember when NFL coverage on UK telly consisted of an hour highlights show on Saturday mornings and the Sunday night game replayed as live during Under The Moon on Wednesday nights, changed times when there's complaints about a 2 min delay.

Still pish for 2012 though Plain
