Do the Lions have a running game?
By:
Just took the lions with the points. Think the win at philli will have gave them lots of confidence going into this, i know the bears are off a bye, but think detroit are slightly underrated and could keep this close.

d13phe - just taken the unders then thought I'd check out what the forum had to say. Agree with your analysis - esp with rain about.

Big divisional game. Both teams are passing teams with gung ho qb`s in Stafford and Cutler and both teams struggle at times to run the ball. Would rather have Bears at home with Cutler at qb and rather have the Chicago defense on my side.
Bears -5.5 |

http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/stats/_/type/team/name/chi/chicago-bears
http://espn.go.com/nfl/team/stats/_/type/team/name/det/detroit-lions The Bears are all about the rush imo not sure Detroit will air it as much as usual with the Bears being hot on picks this year |

Does anyone know whether i can watch this on BBC iplayer tomorrow afternoon
By:
detroit got a lot of pressure on vick..reckon they can do the same to cutler and we know what happens when you rattle jay..hope it is competitive to get us through the shocking interactive coverage
By:
lol Harry - indeed. d13 - my thoughts precisely - Big divisional match ups tend to be tighter affairs than might at first be obviously. Just hoping it's a bit cagey to bring the points unders in.
By:
Chicago 21 - 13 Detroit.
By:
Possibly 2 of the NFL's most unpredictable teams, it's an intriguing match-up. I cannot offer any predictions on the score or winner, it's a real headscratcher
By:
if its any help apparently its raining over there
By:
Yorker789....yes you can.
By:
detriot + 6.5
total points under 47 detriot win by 1-6 |
By:
Fancy Johnson or Pettigrew for first TD... I'll take a punt that Spaeth might even get lucky this game and score a TD.
By:
I'll wade in with my suggestions then (by all means probably incorrect!) but as I see it as a bit of an NFL nut...
Highest scoring half 2ND (appx 1.95 ish) Highest scoring quater 3RD (appx 5.9 ish) Over 9.5 points 3RD (appx 1.7 ish) |
By:
is this on telly?..ty
By:
DON'T KNOW BOUT YOU BUT DETROIT DON'T REALLY RUN THE BALL THAT MUCH
By:
It'll be behind the BBC red button when it kicks off.
By:
CHICAGO BEST RUSH DEFENSE DETROIT 2ND IN PASS YDS SO DOEN'T REALLY MAKE MUCH SENSE TO RUN IT BUT THATS MY TAKE
By:
I agree with Beaniash. Twice.
![]() Gone for the unders here as well but will leave a moneyline play till a few drives in. |
By:
they kicked off at 2.30 ......... the bbc red button is very late
![]() |
By:
Not kicked off yet - unless the stream I'm watching is delayed of course
![]() |
By:
Hate to agree with Beanish given my aversion to his CAPS -
- Detroit are airing it out which makes this a toss-up only if they are lucky. For me - Chicago at 1.4. Good luck all. |
By:
ERM ... WHERES THE SO CALLED RAIN ??
By:
GOODNESS THE BBC IS LIKE 3 DAYS DELAYED
By:
Looked like an easy catch for Megatron there - could be one of those nights for Detroit.
http://www.thefirstrow.eu/watch/148346/1/watch-monday-night-countdown.html - was watching the Countdown show, but the game is still on there. |
By:
BBC delay is criminal

HD STREAM FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS

By:
why did the BBC bother?
.....as much as i love NFL, dont get it as business decision |
By:
Only good thing is you get a few interviews and old clips but sick to **** of seeing the divisional standings
![]() |
By:
EXACTLY AND AS THE NFL IS COMMERCIALLY DRIVEN NOT SURE HOW THAT MADE SENSE TO THEIR BUSINESS MODEL
![]() |
By:
Would have made sense having this standard of coverage about 10 years ago when streams were impossible to come by, but theyve made a halfarsed job of it at best.
Wish it had stayed on ESPN this year |
By:
ESPN KNOW HOW TO DO FOOTBALL HALF TIME ANALYSIS HIGHLIGHTS THE WHOLE LOT. BBC NEED TO STICK TO THE FA CUP OR SOMETHING
By:
Still, I remember when NFL coverage on UK telly consisted of an hour highlights show on Saturday mornings and the Sunday night game replayed as live during Under The Moon on Wednesday nights, changed times when there's complaints about a 2 min delay.
Still pish for 2012 though ![]() |
By:
Actually, Beanish that is a more pertinent question than mine - why would NFL agree to broadcast on BBC to begin with? more confused than ever
![]() |
By:
I took the 3 months free espn before any deal went down..waste of time
By:
Harry22, use it for anything else? cant think of much
![]() |
By:
I'm in ireland - ESPN channels free with basic sky sports package
........except we pay over the odds to begin with![]() |
