Washed up Manning v Sold down the River(s)

think this could come down to whoever has the ball last, cb porter missing for denver, wideouts floyd (groin) and royal (hamstring) questionable for san diego (think both will play) have never trusted rivers and turner and as manning seems to be finding his feet(although poor record against san diego (lost 5 of last 6) will chance the broncos to small stakes.

How San Diego lost last week to Saints I`ll never know. Expect a backlash this week. Home field a huge advantage here. Thought Chargers would be at best -3. Rivers and SD for me.

Fancy manning and the broncos to get the job done here. Had a tough schedule and manning should be finally getting into his rhythm after finding his feet in the early weeks.

Really strong on Denver tonight, and to find out I am getting some points is a bonus.  Lots of technical and match up reasons for my pick but all over overshadowed by the fact that you just CANNOT TRUST THE CHARGERS.

I was a bit surprised to see this as a pick-em. Denver have been very hit and miss so far. Thought that San Diego should have been at least a couple of points favs. I know they SD have played the dross of the NFL to pick up their points so far but Denver haven't beaten anyone I think are any good. Pittsburgh won't make the play-offs and they were well beaten by Atlanta and the Patriots. As neither team has played anyone decent and only beaten teams with a losing record in my opinion the home team should be approximate 3 point favourites.

San Diego will find space to throw against the Denver D and that's where I think the game will be won.

No problem mate. Had Chargers with Port Vale in double and stood to win a small fortune. Went to lay them at HT and didn`t do it as I thought, no way am I laying 1.08 on a 1/200 shot with the bookies. Denver would need to score 4 TD`s to beat me, assuming that SD didn`t score a point in the 2nd half. It didn`t cross my mind that Joan Rivers would be at qb for Chargers in 2nd half instead of Philip.

managed to make £4.40 on the game and very very happy to do so.  If that had been a Sunday night prime time game it could have been carnage. 
Fortunately I backed the overs to get me out of a hole but traded out of Denver for a loss at half time.  Rivers completed owned by Manning last night.

Glad to see manning silencing all these critics...still a class act..what a schedule they have had...should dominate this division after this big win

imo manning has unfairly been forgotten about in the 'who is the best QB' discussion just because he missed so many games through this neck injury..what a season he has had so far.
