Are you absolutely insane. You have 20 plus markets that never get a penny matched, but your handicaps (a major fkin part of NFL betting) are beyond belief. Your handicaps for the 49ers/giants match are -3.5,-4.5,-5.5 and -6.5. This just makes no sense to anyone with half a brain. The handicaps should be something like +4.5,-6.5 and -12.5. thus ensuring that anyone playing the handicaps will move to the most relevant one depending on the score. Should the 49ers go 14-0 up all your handicaps are useless. Even worse the poor liquidity in he hcaps anyway will be diluted even further by putting 4 hcaps right on top of each other. This really should not have be said - it's absolute basics
We've been complaining about this since the start of the season. Can someone from Betfair please reply to this thread with an explanation. The NFL market situation is plain balmy, a myriad of crazy markets. (eg. The Odds or Evens points market is just utterly stupid). Surely to entice new and existing customers the market list needs simplifying.

had a bet in the -5.5points market, when 49ers destroyed the jets 2 weeks ago. my win was voided, because the guy who put up that market had "kansas city" instead of "ny jets" written in the market. big title of the market had everything right and everyone betting in this market was of course aware, which teams were playing - still, they voided according to their rules.
i totally agree with the OP, that HC-markets -5.5, -6.5, -7.5 are silly. reduce the markets, so that those markets have good liquidity and include some INDEX BETTING MARKETS! at least there should be the basic market for the number of points one team will beat the other by.

Someone in Betfair towers is in for a rollicking if the 49ers win by 7 tonight
Strangely, the baseball today (Yankees @ Tigers) had the Under / Over at 7 - i.e. not their usual 0.5 tie-buster

I like having a few lines when a key number is involved and I don't mind the whole numbers.
It's when the line is 5 and they have 3.5, 4.5 and 5.5 that they are just splitting liquidity.
£133 matched on odd or even now.
They seem to have given up on having "Will overtime be played?" and "will the game be tied?" but maybe I missed it.
Personally I don't think you have to be a massive expert to have a line by Wednesday or Thursday that will still be relevant by Sunday.
Maybe if nobody in market ops knows anything about the sport they could employ someone who does (when they are allowed to start employing people again).

no need for anything more than , moneyline, 3 totals, 3 h/caps, and 1 of each of these for each half

Was thinking about having an undr/over bet on the Eagles/Falcons game.
Sadly there is only a market on 41.5, 42.5, 43.5, 45.5, 46.5 and 47.5 to choose from.
I'd been hoping to play under 44.
Never mind.
On a second topic, thanks for listening to your customers Betfair. In a lot of big monopoly businesses you see the dominant company becoming complacent and ignoring their customers.
