Watching the Airforce @ Rice game and some of these online betting companies cannot price these in-running games for love nor money. Useful that some of the time their scoreboards are two touchdowns behind

I don't want to name the provider as they probably think they are hot stuff and know the bookies occasionally read the forum but they had Airforce at evens just before the 2nd turnover and subsequent 14-7 score when betfair was 1.66

Wow, these NC are bad, probably the worst of the Bowl season so far, and yes, I have been up till 3am with the worst of you!
Had a bit of luck laying the shorties so far but this looks dead as dead. Any views on the 8pm game?

No I bet over 51.5 points, feel a little bad for unders backers defenders have actually played quite well but four TO'S and a 95 yard kick return for a TD.... Usually happens when I back unders in an ncaa game

Whilst we seem to have a good couple of contributors right now could someone explain American TV to me please? All of these NCAAF and NFL games are on Fox, NBC, ESPN etc, are these free to air channels in the US? They seem to have 'game day' as a much more communal experience than we have in the UK with SKY/Soccer etc. Images of the boys all round the TV for 9 hours of NFL or 12 hours of NCAAF might be a little rose tinted but would be good to understand how it works over there!
you might have guessed but I ended up spending Xmas with family with no SKY so ended up seeing no sport for the whole bokxing day thing which felt so wrong both from a gambling perspective but also from a communal family sporting occasion way!

Absolutely amazing performance from Clemson in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl (what a catchy name btw).
Taj Boyd looks fookin money .... best QB performance I've seen this season in the NCAAF by a street.

not sure last time an NFL underdog won straight up that was getting a two touchdown start and not sure last time an nfl game was 30 pts out from the game total

I think next year, i'll just lay every fav and see what happens, no chance i'll lose significant money anyway. I've watched at least half the games and tbh they're all over the place, a total the other day 31 by half time, 3 points after. You can do all the homework you like on these bowel (Freudian slip) games and it doesn't made a scrap of difference.
Complete lottery.
And some of the coaching, well you've never seen anything like it, 3 seconds to go, 3 points down, a 30 yard FG on offer, and the HC goes for a 4th down conv ...

not many teams ever play each other or even similar teams so bookies find it hard to price the contests up. they seem to base nearly all pricing on experts picks such as Sports Illustrated.
that said, the bookies must have had a bumper year this year.
tonight is a great matchup. looking forward to seeing if Jonny football can do it on the big stage as everyone is watching/expecting now

Shocking stuff from the refs
from the stuff i have seen in this bowl week, i reckon some of the refs are fishy to say the least. I have seen a few calls worse than the Packers-seahawks one.

Aye I think the months break can hurt the rhythm of the offences sometimes .... been plenty of teams who've just looked totally out of synch.
First time seeing Dri Archer tonight and he hasn't disappointed ...

Go daddy go low bowl another if these massive totals I laid over 61 at 1.73 ..these very high totals don't get anywhere near it
>>>Purely looking anecdotally at forums like covers, most fans that post go for overs, the bookies will know this and will set totals real high in bowl games. Real high totals don't seem to put off USA bettors.
I also believe psychologically that people prefer overs bets, most people like offense over defense, and I think there's there notion that you're never out of an overs bet until the game is over, we have all seem 21 points scored in under a minute, we've all seen 14 scored in 20 seconds.
I did see offenses take time to get settled time after time, it seems to me when overs was hit, it was with late surges more than anything.
What I took from these games this year was lay the fav, in a tightish game take the points (most games really), be wary of very high totals, and don't ignore motivation or lack thereof. The crappier games are worthless really, teams want to win the rose bowl, sugar bowl etc - the rest is tripe, but there's money in tripe too. Small stakes.
And be wary of some unfathomable coaching.

Barkevious Mingo from LSU has declared for the draft (probable top 15 pick), so have others gutting LSU's defense:
LSU junior defensive linemen Barkevious Mingo, Sam Montgomery and Bennie Logan will declare for the 2013 NFL draft, sources told ESPN's Joe Schad.
The 6-foot-5, 240-pound Mingo recently was rated as the No. 5 overall draft prospect by Scouts, Inc. and as the second-best junior defensive end by ESPN's NFL draft Insider Mel Kiper Jr.
The 6-foot-4, 245-pound Montgomery, a defensive end, was ranked 18th overall by Scouts, Inc., while Logan was rated by Kiper as the fifth-best defensive tackle among juniors.
Mingo, Montgomery and Logan join a mass exodus of draft-eligible juniors from LSU, which also will lose safety Eric Reid, linebacker Kevin Minter, cornerback Tharold Simon and running back Spencer Ware.

Gonna watch a lot more next year, ideal way to spend saturday, you can be watching games from 5PM till 5AM if you want too. There's too many uncompetitive games, but there's some good matchups every week.
