probably went a little light on Running Backs which are the bread and butter of the points in fantasy

you don't need to draft two kickers and you could probably pick up some backup RBs on the waiver wire throughout the season who could be big players if the stud RBs get injured

Why wouldn't you draft 2 kickers (or Def for that matter)?

What do you do when your kicker is on a Bye? Claim one off waivers or something?

Surely a reserve kicker is going to get more points than a 6th-choice WR. Even in one week he could be worth 10+ points

there are 14 teams in the Fantasy league and 32 teams in the NFL

there will plenty of decent kickers on the waiver wire for the bye.

Decent Wide Receivers and running Backs are much harder to pick up on the waiver wire imo

I think WRs and RBs and even TEs have more value so I would draft them before kickers

Yeah I was just wondering (we have 16 teams BTW but the principle is the same)

I picked 2 x Kickers, 2 x TEs, and 2 x Def to cover my Bye weeks

I only twigged later that you could get people on the waiver wire to cover Bye weeks as the season went on.

I did exactly the same (I'm bishbosh badgers) and picked a reserve in all positions to cover bye weeks etc.  Hadnt begun to think about getting people in during the season. 

I'm knackered with RBs too.  I had planned getting a decent one in early doors but coming out 15th seemed to ruin that - not many were left by the time it reached me.

Very hard 16 teams i found it hard enough with 14 teams tbh.
1 rule i always have is only take 1 kicker and 1 d/st. Can definatly pick up some on waiver wire and if your kicker is 1 off the top kickers you will definatly have a player by then that you can drop to get a kicker for one week.
You may get a wr or rb that comes from no where more than a kicker will.

Ah well, at least it's not (neccessarily) a total points tally wins and it's a week to week match up!

totally out of touch with this forum, wouldnt have minded doing a league this year for money, never mind, always next season!

couple of quick questions...

1. What is the last point we can make changes to our starting lineup? Is it before the 1st game of the week starts?

2. How does this free agent waiver thing work? If I bid on someone and win do I get the the next week or the same week?

1. Each player locks at his game time, not the first game.
2. Google 'FAAB'. Waivers process each day at 3/4pm UK.
