Anyone else betting here?

I've gone with a little 4 fold:

NFC West - 49ers
AFC South - Texans
AFC East - Patriots
NFC North - Packers

Then bet on 49ers at Coral at 8/15.

what odds did you get?

all look pretty sound tbh
Report Lance in France August 23, 2012 9:08 AM BST
Pack 1/3
49ers 1/2
Texans 1/5
Pats 2/7

Works out to just over 2/1
Report d13phe August 23, 2012 9:17 AM BST
i think maybe worth doing one with the Bengals as well

Steelers have no Offensive players and an ageing defence

Ravens have no Suggs and an ageing defence - Can you trust Joe Flacco

Bengals look like a team on the move in that division - with weapons like AJ Green, Green Ellis and a strong D

Browns - no chance

@Lance, mine was very similar, I got around 2.4 on BF.

'Steelers have no Offensive players'

A tounge-in-cheek statement there, I presume? If Mike Wallace, as is expected, signs his tender next week, that will give the Steelers, in my opinion, the best receiving corp in the A.F.C. in Wallace, Brown, Sanders, Cotchery, Miller, Saunders and Rainey. The O-Line seems to have improved with the acquisition of DeCastro at RG and Colon moving into LG from RT. And they have a decent stable of running backs in Mendenhall, Redman, Dwyer and Batch. And comfortably the division's best QB in Roethlisberger!

DeCastro banged up now
Mike Wallace still not reported
Mendenhall could be out for half a season
Redman also injured
Dwyer - not so sure

I think its going to be a tough year for Big Ben and co.

Inclined to agree d13, think the bengals could be the team to beat.
Report mintymonster1 August 28, 2012 9:06 PM BST
I also agree d13. They will have a full off season with Green and Dalton and arguably a decent first 6 games. Decent bet

I like the bengals also D13...team heading the right way in a division that imo isnt as intimidating as it was..still tough but the bengals well capable of winning it.

After week one, due to the schedule the most we could have hoped for was 3 teams out of 4 winning which is what we achieved. Did expect the 49ers to be the losing team though. Must win game already for the packers tomorrow!
Report d13phe September 12, 2012 4:24 PM BST
Not really.

The Bears beat a very poor Colts team with a rookie QB.

I think they will be improved but nowhere near the class of the Packers

Packers have an easier schedule over the duration.
Report d13phe September 12, 2012 4:27 PM BST
btw

if Manning and Co beat the Falcons in Atlanta which i think they may do its time to take serious notice of Denver as a superbowl team

If they can get to the second playoffs game with Tebow, they can do a lot better with Manning at the helm.

Well, week 3 couldn't really have gone much worse. well actually it could have I suppose! One out of four with 2 of the defeats coming on the last play. And to top it off I had New Orleans in the Betfair Eliminator. Roll on next week.......

Betfair Eliminator?
Report Lance in France September 25, 2012 3:34 PM BST
Yup Shazza. Its on the ESPN website and every year someone on this forum sets up a league for us. You have to pick a team to win everyweek (you can't pick the same team twice) and you keep going till your selection loses. Mine lost!

Time for an update. After last weeks unreported 4 from 4, this week saw 3 from 4. Sadly the team that needed to win the most didn't. Now we face the prospect of the odds being offered on The Pack being almost as big as the 4 timer at the start of the season - and a trip to The Texans looming!
Report Shazza93 October 22, 2012 3:26 PM BST
4/4 this week :)

What a slog this has been. 3 weighed in and San Fran have 2 bites of the cherry to finish it off. Who would have thought the naff call at the end of the Seattle Green Bay game could have had such a disastrous impact on our accas!
Report HARRY22 December 18, 2012 4:15 PM GMT
49ers have got it wrapped up now surely...easy home game to finish.

I have been waiting 3 weeks for the fecking ravens to win one game...still may not happen....packers falcons ravens treble I placed back in september.

Not sure if this has been discussed yet if NYG lose as they are now Wsh 9-6 NYG 8-7 Dal 8-7 even if WSH lose do they not win the division as the division tie breakers are Divisional records first that would give Wsh better than Dall or Nyg
Report HARRY22 December 23, 2012 11:46 PM GMT
legend I have been through this on the nfl week 17 thread a million times but as you probably werent looking the cowboys win next week they win division 100%

hope this helps
Report legend111 December 23, 2012 11:49 PM GMT
Harry if Dal win they will both be 9-7 Wsh Div record would be 4-2 Dal would only have 3-3 with a win and that appears to be the first tiebreaker in division
Report HARRY22 December 23, 2012 11:57 PM GMT
legend if dallas win both will have 4-2 division records Cool
Report db1974 December 23, 2012 11:58 PM GMT
Cowboys would be 4-2 in the division if they win next week. They then win the division on common games (5-3 as against 4-4 for the Redskins)
Report HARRY22 December 23, 2012 11:58 PM GMT
trust me legend...WINNER TAKES ALL MATCH.
Report HARRY22 December 23, 2012 11:59 PM GMT
5-3 4-4 is the decider..legend you dont seem to be adding on a divisional match win to the cowboys if they beat the redskins Cool
Report legend111 December 24, 2012 12:06 AM GMT
in there division they only play 6 games each team twice I am taking the current 4-1 wsh v dal 2-3 win one game left that would make wsh 4-2 dal 3-3 in division if tied cant see how dall can now win it
