Going to start a blog/bets on the American sports for fellow gamblers to follow and see how i get on.

1) Detroit Redwings to beat phoenix Coyotes @4/5 Moneyline - 01.05am

- After a bit of deliberation ive decided to make this a play. The price looks decent enough to take on the Redwings. At the moment they're flying. 9-1-1 in the last 11 games on this road trip, they'll be looking to finish it on a high. They fought back from 3-1 down LTO against Edmonton before letting it slip in a shootout. They havent lost b2b for over a month. Phoenix on the other hand have only won b2b home games twice all season losing 14 of the 25 games at the Jobing. They're just 2-9 on the last 11 games coming off a days rest, 1-6 as an underdog of which theyre 1-5 at home as an underdog, while also having lost 6 straight against pacific opponents. Detroit on the other hand is 13-3 against fellow pacific teams and has taken 7 straight against the Coyotoes. I fancy Detroit to get the job done here and end the road trip on a high note.

2 - Anaheim Ducks to beat Calgary Flames @ 37/50 Moneyline - 03.00am

- I think the Ducks are a play here. They've dropped the last couple after a decent run, and still sit miles behind Minnesota for the last playoff spot. However they meet Calgary tonight, who despite winning LTO on the road have won just 10 of there last 28 away from home. They have won just 2 of there last 12 as an underdog on the road. Kiprusoff is likely to be in goal tonight, and has a wretched record of 0-5-2, 3.90ERA in Anaheim. In fact the stats in the match up for the away team and underdog are very poor. The home team has won 39 of the last 55 meetings, and the favourite 22 of the last 30. Also add in that Calgary have dropped 12 straight in Anaheim and not won there for near on 8 years in the regular season, i see Selanne and his boys getting another run on the go tonight with a comfortable victory, over a Flames side that doesnt travel well at all.

3 - Orlando Magic to beat LA Clippers @ Evens - Moneyline - 00.00am.

- For the first time in 6 years Orlando are Underdogs against the LA Clippers. They have won 9 straight in the series covering the handicap on the last 8 of those victories. Things are changed though over the last year, and many seem to think Clippers are a much better side than the Magic. On paper they look it, however looking at the record, despite this "poor" season Orlando are having they are still 15-9 and currently ride a 3 game winning streak. The clippers at 14-7 arent much better than the Magic, and its at home where they are a much better side going 10-3, while on the road are just 4-4. The Magic being an underdog for the first time in 6 years, i dont expect to cause a problem, as they thrive better as underdogs, espeically on there home court. I expect Howard to have a big game tonight, and show that the Magic are still dangerous, keeping this run going to 4 straight wins, and 10 straight over the clippers.

4 - Chicago Bulls -9.5 points against New Jersey Nets @ 10/11 - 00.30am

- I think Chicago can blow out New Jersey again tonight. The Bulls are 20-6, during the run without Deng they went 4-3, so having him back is a great help. In the last meeting the Bulls starters outscored the Nets by 85 points to 45, in a demolition performance. To make matters worse 3 of the Nets 5 starters are missing tonight Okur, Brooks and DeShawn Stevenson are all out. As big favourites the Bulls tend to get the job done and cover, they are 4-0 as 5-10.5 point favourites on the road, while on the flip side, the Nets are 1-7 as a home underdog in the same points margin. The Bulls are also 10-6 ATS on the road, while ATS the Nets arent at .500 at home. With so many players missing, against a healthy again Bulls side, i can see the Bulls having too much tonight, and should get the job done with maximum ease.

5. Memphis Grizzlies to beat San Antonio Spurs @ Evens - Moneyline 01.05am

- Despite the Spurs being on a decent run, i have to take the Grizzlies here. Memphis are 7-3 at home compared the the Spurs road record of 3-8. I feel a return home will spark the Grizzlies to a decent performance, especially after the last game at home, funnily enough which was also against the Spurs. Memphis also have a better ATS at home, than the Spurs do on the road, going 5-4 compared to the 4-7 that the Spurs have gone. One stat that does stand out to me, is Memphis's record playing with no rest. They are 21-4-1 ATS when playing the next night, and after being beaten in Boston last night, they should cover tonight. They missed Tony Allen last night, having him hopefully back tonight would be a much needed boost, to help slow down and combat the Spurs offence.

Nice write-ups, even if the result didn't all go you way
