Falcons at the Saints - Boxing Day

These games are usually close so at the prices I'm on the Falcons at 4+ and looking to deal later

Saints should win

Saints are very short price

Saints win, Brees breaks passing record, all set up for the divisional title game on MNF, 331 might be plenty of yards but I can only play over....

I think the falcons have the tools to win but it's up to Ryan to execute

I do think the league are a bit excessive about their 'prop' and 'over celebrating' rules, but I guess the players know the rules so pulling a bow out of your suit and sticking it to a ball is always going to be worth 15 yards.

I don't think Saints will relent, and the Falcons are more likely to give it away when chasing.

Games like this are usually decided by mistakes - a turnover maybe, missed FG.
Haven't seen the punters in 15 mins and doubt we'll see much of them at all, every possession could end in a score.

Kopland - he was a certainty to do it tonight, he even said in the week in interviews that it would be special to do it in front of National TV in a devision decider - sad thing is they actually have a decent running game as well, like Packers it;s just their defence that lets them down....

He'll pass for another 75 definitely, question is that if Saints force a punt that gets returned for TD and the first possession Brees has he goes 75 yards whoch gives Saints a 25 point lead, I think it'll be Thomas, Sproles and Ivory all the way.

Kopland - I agree, he is an elite QB, though I have to say that had he been forced to take a few more cold road trips in their superbowl year the outcome may have been different - they played CL, FL and dome teams away throughout Winter and obviously had home field advantage throughout playoffs.
The real test of his career will come (as I expect it to) will be when he takes the Saints to Lambeau for the NFC Champs game at the back end of Jan when it'll be 25 degrees and probably windy and snowy.
Similar to Rodgers, Brees has so many targets, but I am a strong believer the passing game is easier indoors, when you watch Rodgers doing it in cold weather and wind it's scary how good the guy is....

Josh - if you're playing it you'll be wanting the Falcs to stay close that's for sure.
If Falcs get and keep to within one score I can see Brees chalking up 425 yards here

my praise of Brees was in no way meant to be me saying he is above Rodgers - far from it - i love watching them both - and this year Rodgers has been unreal

Mate, I think we're just lucky to be in a time when there are so many HOF QBs, think Brady, Peyton, Big Ben maybe.
That turnover was huge for the game though I do think Saints will stay 2 swcores ahead for most of the game then kill clock late on, something around 31-24 maybe ?
My only bet is Brees over 331 so I'm quite relaxed at the min....

Ch 4 - trouble with their coverage is that US TV networks go to commercial every time there's a break in play, UK commercial stations aren't set up that way so you get average chat in a studio, Mike Carlsson is a very knowledgeable guy, I like listening him.
The 1.30-4.30am shift is desperate, Sky invest in some decent peoplke because 6pm-1am commands a much bigger audience - Cecil is awesome but they needed someone after Halling walked....

the interesting thing to me wasn't so much brees and the no off, we knew that was red hot, it was how well their d shut down atl. the atl off has been good the last few weeks and has some pretty decent weapons, yet they got pretty much shut down.

I think the first 4 possesions ended up in points, for me there was no reason to expect a 30 point blowout at that stage, what surprised me more was the play calling as they were getting success on the ground then deserted the running game, I think I'm right in saying they only ran the ball 3 times in the second half ????

Perhaps if you check this seasons stats you might realise why they are bigging up Rodgers.....just a thought.
