I've got them going 11-5.
Yes the West is a weak division, I honestly expected a lot more from the Cards and the Rams have been killed by key injuries.
I expect the Niners will come unstuck if they draw a road Jan trip to Foxboro or Heinz Filed, but they've made good progress this year, decent yardsticks upcoming with games in Baltimore and home to Pittsburgh

D-FENCE superb..always likely to force turnovers....in a season where offence is dominating i dont see them being a huge threat
Report swimfast2 October 30, 2011 3:49 PM GMT
agree harry  good win against phiily and detroit if they keep winning can see only green bay in nfc having better record  could be no 2 seeds
Report HARRY22 October 30, 2011 4:29 PM GMT
superb road wins..still yet to lose on the road...they basically shut philly and detroit down

Happy to lay them for Clev to make this competitive. 1.25 stilly price. Prefer to take the bounce to 1.4 and sitting on a lot betting plus than the 1.25.
Report TopTier October 30, 2011 7:14 PM GMT
49s are on a run but a top team they are not.
Report TopTier October 30, 2011 8:14 PM GMT
1.24 got to pmsl. Happy to lay this for a competitive game.
Report TopTier October 30, 2011 8:32 PM GMT
Anyone got a link to for this? Mine just gone.

Thanks in advance.

Hope Browns make 49s pay for their arrogance. Not holding my breath atm.
Report TopTier October 30, 2011 9:19 PM GMT
One gifted TD at the start and not much going on since. Unfortunately Browns don't look like getting in the redzone so far.
Report d13phe October 30, 2011 9:32 PM GMT
They actually look like they have a first draft pick at QB now

They are not asking him to do too much and they look like they will be hard to beat especially with the defence
Report rdb October 30, 2011 10:52 PM GMT
Yep, the West is weak, but the 49ers have won in Detroit and Philadelphia, and absolutely murdered the Bucs. Those are all sides outside the West and who are well regarded.

The West isn't as weak as it was - as said above, the Rams have been killed by injuries otherwise they'd have been a strong contender this year. The Cards and Seattle...meh...

Original question - 49ers are looking good.  They'll comfortably win the division with as good a record as anyone outside two or three sides, imo. There's a lot better sides to come in January, however, which will be the real test. With a touch of luck they could make the Championship game. I'd be amazed to see them go any further tho.
Report swimfast2 October 30, 2011 11:42 PM GMT
is it true that one team that played at wembley the previous year has made the superbowl the following year ie giants  new orleans  could it be 49 s?
Report Nilsson Schmilsson October 30, 2011 11:53 PM GMT
no thats not true
Report swimfast2 October 30, 2011 11:56 PM GMT
stand corrected must of read it wrong
Report Nilsson Schmilsson October 30, 2011 11:58 PM GMT
i'd like to see the 49ers win it all
i think the nfc title game is their ceiling though
Report swimfast2 October 31, 2011 12:02 AM GMT
winning breeds confidence long way to go tho . tend to  agree packers  look class .
Report incaseof October 31, 2011 12:15 AM GMT
with that scheduled 12-4/13-3 looks likely...still has time into the games they cant move the ball at all, mostly on Alex Smith and conservative play calling...but who can blame them with that D backing them up
Report Still standing October 31, 2011 1:10 AM GMT
What happened to my little October 29 submission about SF ?  Why would the BF forum police remove it ?  Are you a 49er fan Mr BF police ?  What did I say that was so offensive that it had to be removed.

Just to wrap up what I said.  This might be the offensive part to BF copper.  I think SF will be a 1st round casualty, unless they shore up their passing offence and defence.  There, delete that.
Report ph. October 31, 2011 7:36 PM GMT
winning breeds confidence and ordinary men believe they are supermen. Two sides hitting nosebleed heights like Detroit and SF are good for the game, they're on the up and don't deserve to be denigrated.GB,Pitts and NE are rightly revered but SF could be up there in 3 years with natural progression.
Report d13phe October 31, 2011 8:07 PM GMT
I'm not sure new England are revered anymore.
Report ph. October 31, 2011 11:58 PM GMT
work in progress but still in elite 6 for mine,BB redeveloping playing staff and so far this season it has gone better than many thought. I'd still say they are respected and even revered if only here in Blighty.Take GB and Steelers as top 2 teams so far (imo) then who do you rate as 3rd seed overall? Saints,San Diego,Ravens,Giants,49ers or even Jets?
Report ph. December 4, 2011 7:34 PM GMT
SF matching up and Detroit fading away, who would be 3rd and 4th picks from Ravens,Saints and Pats for mine.
Report ph. January 15, 2012 1:14 AM GMT
they are very good,Smith turned into an elite QB tonight
Report ReimerpYsatnaf January 15, 2012 1:18 AM GMT
If Green Bay beat the Giants they will murder them
Report ph. January 15, 2012 1:24 AM GMT
Giants massive obstacle, even so I'd take 7 start 49ers against GB.
Report dav72 January 15, 2012 12:14 PM GMT
Both giants and gb defenses this year have been statisically two of the worst, like the saints were also, i dont think the 49ers should fear GB even though a trip to lambeau field would be daunting...smith came of age last night and the 49ers will score points against either of those teams. And they certainly should not fear NY.
